Opening thought: Let’s address the elephant in the room, I’m back after a week…. What does this mean? The show will be different. I’m going to be more open. No more tip toeing.

Say HER name: Iryna Zarutska

In the Ropes: Wrestling related topics

• AJ Lee returning gets a short pop, and then what?
• Apparently more returns are imminent
• Let me talk to the sickos: your style of wrestling is killing the business. That’s not my opinion, that’s a fact.
• Let me talk to the over casual: Criticizing a fan for getting excited for a show they like is miserable.
• We have to talk about Sami Zayn. Outside of the IWC bubble fans don’t like him. Not because of politics, like many claim, but because he’s corny.
• Let Jaida be sexy!

4th&Deep: Football Related topics

• Jalen Carter is an idiot
• Let’s not over react to the poor performances of the eagles and the chiefs
• Patriots corner:
  • Defense is great, especially once Gonzo comes back, but the Peppers release makes 0 sense and cost us this game.
  • Drake Maye cannot play like he did the rest of the season. Too many overthrows. And rushed decisions.
  • I think the WR room is good. Mack Hollins should be moved by the deadline for safety help. In my opinion.
• More Week 1 recap
  • Dolphins may be worse than I thought
  • We had a lot of really fun games (Jets/Steelers, Buccs/Falcons, bengals/browns, Niners/Hawks, rams/texans, bills/ravens)
  • Cam Ward needs to learn to stop throwing fastballs.
  • I don’t know who the favorites are anymore. I like the packers tho, and the AFC is an open race.
  • Can I pose a question? Has the league finally reached peak parity?
• Deep 5: Top 5 teams of the week.
  • Packers
  • Ravens
  • Colts
  • Bills
  • Chargers
• Predictions for week 2

Questions from the Discord:

• What are the chances of Dallas having a good season and how far do you think they will go?
• Do you think that the women like Paige, AJ, Eve, and Katlyn can hang with the current roster of women or do you think they just were good because everyone around them sucked and were more worried about looking good in a bikini?
• Is Michael Cole really the goat of commentary or people just say that because he’s the only one left from the attitude era?
• Remember when I asked about Rikishi’s sons feeling the effect of Rampages sons actions? Do you think Solo loosing the US title was because of that?
• Since Charlotte, Bayley, Sasha, and Becky called themselves the 4 horsewomen of the WWE who do you see as the next generation?
  • Sol Ruca
  • Blake Monroe
  • Jaida Parker
  • Lyra Valkyria
• Do you think NXT is lacking in the men’s division right now?
• If aliens landed tomorrow and asked you to represent humanity, what’s the first thing you’d show them?
• What are the legacy of the Dudley boys in your eyes? Gonna have to discuss the context and talk about Bubba’s comment.

IN THIS EPISODE OF THE SLAPPING MEAT WRESTLING PODCAST, HOST WETOODEEP COVERS THE FOLLOWING TOPICS:

• Opening Thoughts
  • AAA put on a fantastic show
    • OMOS going to be used in AAA makes me wanna watch
    • Konnan was very helpful on commentary
    • It’s obvious AAA is going to be built around Vikingo but they have a problem. He’s presented as a face while being booed like a heel.
    • There’s a Del Rio problem
    • Flammer is great
    • This version of Nattie should show up on raw
  • Raw thoughts
    • Looked like a average show
    • The Men’s main event scene (Punk, Reigns, Rollins, La Knight, Jey USO) is completely overbooked. Sure let’s to an extreme match in Philly and run all the same trope we’ve used for the last 17 matches (sarcasm intended).
    • Predictable is good, IF the story actually builds to the predictable ending. When I can direct the scene as it’s happening, you’ve used the trope way to many times.
    • Naomi relinquished the title, so now what?
• QFTD
  • Should you still be able to hold a world championship or be apart of a major storyline if you know you’re going to be out of action for more than 30 days?
  • Who is someone that used to work for WWE that is currently working for another company that you would want to see come back? Can be a tag team, a single person, a faction. (Besides Dolph Ziggler)
  • Does it seem like WWE is pushing the low man out of the picture by making all these different moves?
• Thirsty Tuesday Bracket
  • Lori Harvey vs Maggie Q
  • Olivia Rodrigo vs Selena Gomez
  • Jenna Ortega vs Vanessa Hudgens
  • Simone Biles vs Alisha Lehmann

IN THIS EPISODE OF THE SLAPPING MEAT WRESTLING PODCAST, HOST WETOODEEP COVERS THE FOLLOWING TOPICS:

Opening thought: Naomi is pregnant??

Fantasy Book Friday: Why i would have had Roman best Cody at Mania 40, Let Solo dethrone Roman.

Deep 5: Five Things I would do that I think would make WWE a better experience

• Cinematic vignettes and matches
• Focus on creating depth in character and storylines. Nuance is not a bad thing. The fans are a lot smarter than most give them credit for.
• Weekly shows would be focused less on wrestling matches and creating reasons for the fight.
• Longer Title Runs- allow the props to feel like they mean something
• Lower the prices to watch/enjoy the experience

Bracket Battles: Best women’s wrestler:

Roxanne Perez vs Rosemary

Dani Luna vs Jacy Jayne

Jade Cargill vs Xia Brookside

Megan Bayne vs Iyo Sky

Question of the week: You can only watch one wrestler’s matches for the rest of your life — who is it?

• Gunther

IN THIS EPISODE OF THE SLAPPING MEAT WRESTLING PODCAST, HOST WETOODEEP COVERS THE FOLLOWING TOPICS:

• Opening Thoughts
  • Housekeeping: going forward I don’t really care about the news, my show will be done to critique the tv show. Everything that i talk about will be solely on the universe that is played out on screen. No rumors, no BTS. Just the tv show, my thoughts and a couple fun games to create interaction. But I don’t care if WWE goes to Saudi for Mania. The business side of the business is none of my business. I don’t care about it. My opinions aren’t going to change how a corporation runs.
  • WWE has a male superstar problem- the future looks bleak
  • Looks like NXT is headed finally, where I thought they would go. The David/Goliath story. Jevon vs Oba
  • Raw Thoughts
    • Let’s Talk About Sami Zayn
    • In my opinion the only interesting thing on the show is Bayley and Lyra.
    • I love that Becky is putting over young inexperienced talents
    • The men’s scene is so trash
    • I know I’m a minority but I am not a fan of the El Grande thing
    • I’m certain AJ will get involved at TripleMania
    • What happened to Naomi? The women’s main event scene is okay, but I’m so confused what the long term is. Nothing makes sense.
  • Why WWE’s booking still lacks- what got lost in the SummerSlam noise- booking for pops is bad booking
  • WWE needs a draft quickly
• Thirsty Tuesday Bracket
  • Maria Sharapova vs Kaylyn Kyle
  • Megan Moroney vs Shakira
  • Scarlett Johansson vs Megan Fox
  • Alix Earle vs Kim Kardashian
• QFTD
  • Why did they drop the ball with Karrion Kross?
  • Do you see a problem with WWE having business relationships with different promotions?
• Final Thoughts
  • How should WWE structure themselves?
    • Main Roster(Main shows only for the biggest stars)
    • NXT
    • TNA/ AAA/ NOAH (stepping stones to get used to tv productions)
    • Evolve (rookies and new hires to just get reps)
