The unspiritual self, just as it is by nature, can not receive the gifts of God's Spirit. There's no capacity for them. They seem like so much silliness. Spirit can be known only by spirit — God's Spirit and our spirits in open communion. When we are spiritually alive, we have access to everything God's Spirit is doing, and can not be judged by unspiritual critics.

Undertake nothing without acknowledging him as the presence, the power, the law, the cause, and the effect. In doing this over and over and over again–never from the standpoint of a formula or a repetition of a statement, but always spontaneously. We are now operating automatically in the realization that only the Father can perform this and that we of ourselves can do nothing. In this realization, in the making of this contract, comes forth the spiritual fruitage in our life. Our life therefore must be a continual turning within to be fed.

To those engaged in spiritual work, there is a certain reward that comes in the feeling of having served their fellow man and of having served God in such services. However, when we come to giving service within our family, business, or even community life, we are likely to forget that the service we perform for another is not really for another at all. Outwardly it would seem that we are performing our duties and obligations merely because of those human obligations and relationships, but this is not true. In serving another, we are serving Christ.

Let the reign of God be with us for his kingdom endureth forever. We must do the work the Father gives us to do every moment, whichever its name or nature, knowing that as we do it to the utmost of our present ability it fits us for more, and always higher, work in his service.

Sound is the gate and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few have found it. It is not difficult to remember the Truth that I and my Father are one. However, It is very difficult to live it. We must assume our obligation as a son. This means no longer voicing Truth but living Truth. In essence, when the world throw hurts at you, you do not react but remember that in your divine sonship there can be no hurt.

To prevent Paul from being conceited about the knowledge of God that he had received, God sent him an unspecified thorn in the flesh. The scripture did not disclose the nature of the ailment, whether it was physical, emotional, or connected with some temptation. Only that Paul cried out to God repeatedly for relief. Paul said now he takes limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut him down to size — abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. He just let Christ take over! And so the weaker He got, the stronger He became.

To him that overcometh will I give. In essence to him who overcomers that desire to seek and to search in the outer realm “will I give to eat of the hidden manna.” To Him That Overcometh, we will be held to a higher standard. We will no longer operate from our human selves who are full of themselves. We will be operating from our God selves. We are now called upon to serve and feed the multitudes.

We do not seek the world: we abide at the center of our being. Behold the glory of God, and let the world come to us. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna and will give him a white stone and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. Revelation 2:16-17 Jesus said that he will give us a blessing that we cannot see. Over and over in His Word, we see the promise of unseen blessings.

The created world itself can hardly wait for what is coming next. All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it is not only around us; it is within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We are also feeling the birth pangs.

As we realize God to be the source of our life our protection our safety and security: we look to the source for safety, peace, and joy. Know this! That source is within our being. Expecting Good from others is wrong. For God cannot flow through us when we are looking to another for our supply.
