It is impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. By faith, Noah built a ship in the middle of dry land. His act of faith drew a sharp line between the evil of the unbelieving world and the rightness of the believing world.

When we use the creative imagination in steadfast faith, it will create for us, out of the One Substance, whatever we have formed in thought. In this way, man becomes a Co-Creator with God. There will never be an end to any of the eternal verities like Truth, Love, Beauty. There will never be an end to God, nor to any of the attributes which are co-eternal and co-existent with God.

Prayer is not an act of overcoming God's reluctance but should be an active acceptance of His highest willingness. Through Prayer, we recognize a spiritual law that has always existed and put ourselves in alignment with it. Prayer enables us to establish closer contact with the Fountain of Wisdom, and we are less likely to be influenced by the appearance around us.

Most people who believe in God believe in prayer, but their idea of prayer changes as their idea of God changes, and it is natural for each to feel that their way of praying is the correct way. But we should bear in mind that effective prayers – no matter whose prayers they may be – are effective because they embody certain universal principles which, when understood, can be consciously used.

The word that we speak is the law of our lives and nothing hinders its operation but ourselves. We may use our creative word for whatever purpose we desire, and this word becomes the law unto the thing for which it was spoken. In essence, we start the creative process by the power of our words.

Man’s mind is the Mind of God functioning at the level of man’s understanding of his place in the Universe. Man contacts the Mind of God at the center of his being. It is useless to seek elsewhere. The Highest Good and the innermost God is One God. Through the medium of Mind, man unifies with the Universe and contacts a Power that can do anything for him that can be conceived.

The evolution of man is a subject that has been studied for many years by scientistsfrom all over the world. The focus of scientists is not on spiritual works or spirituality. Their interest is in-laws and principles; one could say organized knowledge. However, they recognize a government of law whose principles are universal.

What happened was this: People knew God perfectly well, but when they did not treat him like God, refusing to worship him, they trivialized themselves into silliness and confusion so that there was neither sense nor direction left in their lives. They pretended to know it all but were illiterate regarding life.

If we want to know what God is doing right now, try to remember what we were doing the last time we were in love. We probably could not get the person out of our minds. We daydreamed about what it would be like to spend the rest of our life with that person. We took any opportunity to be close to that person. And more than anything, we wanted that person to love us back. Why should God be any different?

Every thought we have, we are placing on an altar of our spiritual life. What is it that we are placing upon the altar every moment of our life? Know this! What we placed upon the altar will be reflected in our life. What thought are we developing and bringing to our altar of life? Think of it as a mirror. It reflects that which we put forth. Those thoughts are our seeds of life. We must bring success to our life Altar. We must think success to bring success.
