On this episode, we examine the curious case of the "love Trump's hate" crowd's penchant for being the sorest winners in modern electoral politics. Not even winning can stop them from indulging in their basest command/control instincts to compile lists of their political rivals. Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Castro, and yes, even literal "literal Hitler" would be proud of their efforts. A fact we are sure is lost on these people, but that's why we are here to remind them.

We finally found out whether Schrodinger's cat is alive or dead... It's dead, but it wasn't our fault. In this episode, we tackle the strange case of the libertarian vote. We discuss how it's simultaneously a waste, the deciding factor in an election, and impossible to tell who it was really for until the eventual winner is announced. We roast the presumptive winners and losers, because if there's one thing you can count on from us, it is to tell you the truth no matter how much you don't want to hear it.

As the election approached, there was a lot of hysteria around the USPS. Along with it, a should-be long-dead meme of "only the government can provide a public service like mail delivery" once again reared its ugly head. We take that meme head on and give you the Econ 101 reply to destroy this meme when it eventually pops up again in the future to justify government waste.

Alyssa Milano is the target of this episode (low hanging fruit, we know). As the gift that keeps on giving that she is, she recently tweeted that simply because she's a Democrat, she is all love and cannot understand why anyone is a Republican. Amazing. This attitude leaves her utterly incapable of identifying the un-loving actions of her party's standard bearers (Biden and Harris) and turns her into a hypocrite of epic proportions. The meme that a political party has a monopoly on love/virtue of any sort has got to go. We take care of this one here.

So many damn Nazis!

In this episode we attack the (sadly) growing meme in the culture that makes one quick to demonize another as a Nazi because they have a 2.3% difference of opinion. This meme must be destroyed for 2 reasons. First, it's polarizing and destroying society by making civil discourse damn near impossible. Second, it rots the brain of the person who uses it because, just like a lack of exercise atrophies one's muscles, the inability to engage in a discussion with critical thinking and the habit of shutting it down as "I'm good, you're evil" wastes away one's brain. Enough already.

In this episode we discuss the "Manichean Temptation" (shout out to Prof. CJ over at the Dangerous History Podcast) of politics and cancel culture. If you view the world and the actors in it as a cosmic struggle between good and evil, you're going to wind up defending things you hate from your teammates while condemning well-meaning or non-evil people you perceive as being on the other team. In either case, you end up losing yourself. Spot it, acknowledge it, and fight back against it.

Oh no! The government is abducting you, caging you, and denying you due process?! Sure wish someone would have warned you about that. *sigh*

In this episode, we use the abductions of commies by federal agents to teach some lessons about libertarians: (1) don't mock us for decades and expect us to come to your defense; (2) you're our enemies, you tell us all the time, so don't wonder where we are when our mutual enemy attacks you; and (3) our principles mean we can't harm you, but we don't have to help you.

Cancel culture sucks!

But, you already knew that. The real question is: Why? A few years before cancel culture was a thing, we had a personal experience with a guy who would have loved to "cancel" us simply due to his quickness to jump to conclusions to confirm his preconceived biases. That is the long and the short of the attitude that underlies what cancel culture is. Spotting this attitude in yourself and others is the first step to nipping this cancel culture stuff in the bud.

If you focus on all the wrong things, you are going to have a bad time.

Confirmation hearings for ACB to fill the SCOTUS seat of RGB are ongoing, and as usual, the discussion around is focusing on all the wrong things. This is why we can’t have nice things! In this episode, we explain how the wrong focus leads to the wrong answers and why a history of doing so has made the Court a political football that both sides existentially fear losing control of. When in doubt, blame government. In this episode, we attack the meme that is Karl Marx's labor theory of value. Like any good zombie, this meme which has been dead since almost the very day it left his pen just keeps coming back, and all too often impacts the way people view public policy concerning workers and/or "the common man". As usual though, government is to blame for the plight of these groups, not "greedy capitalists", and we explain why.
