  • 57. Daniel Wooden

Daniel Wooden is a photographer focusing on music and personalities.

I first met Daniel in Philly shooting all your favorite parties. Tall as hell, vibrant, loving, either shooting digital or film, it was great to see him always capturing the moment.

Like many do, creatives leave Philly to other cities to tune their craft, hone their skills, go beyond and see what else is there to offer outside of our amazing city of brotherly love.

Daniel has worked for select clients such as Nike Toronto, Heineken, Mad Decent, Complex Media, and Mass Appeal for their special projects, event recaps and press media. Previously at Little Giant Media.

Linking and building, bringing the wood, welcome to the show, Daniel Wooden.

Please welcome Daniel Wooden to Wear Many Hats.

  • 56. Christine Espinal

Christine Espinal is a Spatial Designer based in NYC that I met in Philly at Yowie that works over at Lichen NYC.

I feel like I’m on a roll with interviewing everyone at Lichen NYC because I love everything and everyone who sets foot in that store and what they do.

Christine’s conceptual renderings of storefronts, hotels, trade show booths, is a future we’re looking to see within the commercial space.

Christine was always on our radar because of all the sketch modeling she posts online along with the processes.

Trust the process with Christine Espinal.

Please welcome Christine Espinal to Wear Many Hats.

  • 52 . Walid Shaharul

Walid Shaharul is a Brooklyn based artist that is a self-taught painter from Queens.

He recently had his first solo exhibition put on by the homies over at the art collective, Roosi entitled ‘Safe Space’ at Synesthesia.

Walid’s figures have distorted faces which reminds you of Francis Bacon.

We don’t eat bacon because we’re about that muslim lifestyle. Except for prosciutto and pepperoni.

This is a safe space, no one needs to know about your harams or habibis.

But no really, his show “Safe Space” brings out the bright and attractive backdrops along with bright colors that provide positive and joyful feelings of each of their figures.

Please welcome Walid Shaharul to Wear Many Hats.

  • 51 . Jae Melo

Jeffrey Melo is an artist that is represented by Black Wall Street Gallery.

His painting, ‘Behind The Walls, Lies Our Foundation” which is 54 x 54 inches, oil on canvas, is up in the BWS exhibition on 26 Mercer Street.

I’ve always wanted Jae to be part of the Dahsar collections so I’m glad he was able to take a break from his painting schedule to come hang with us.

He models on the side, does Jiu Jitsu, rips on the guitar. His Prince painting is phenomenal.

Another UArts alum that we met in Philly. I’m glad to always see him at all of our functions.

Just like his last name, very mellow.

Please welcome Jeffery Melo to Wear Many Hats.

  • 50 . Cam Sizemore & Minji Kwon

Cam Sizemore is a Cinematographer that has worked on all your favorite films and tv shows.

Tv shows such as Daredevil, Master of None, The OA, Crashing, The Godfather of Harlem, High Fidelity, The Flight Attendant, and Gossip Girl. HBO not The CW.

Films such as John Wick. That’s all I could find.

Even though as a first assistant camera operator or second, Cam is also a photographer who shoots on many different film cameras outside of work.

All the UArts homies work in film. I didn’t go to UArts.

We all know each other from Philly. We literally are the Fast and Furious, Vin Diesel Paul Walker Because Family Meme where they say family, 33 times in that movie. Don’t fact check me on that.

This isn’t Hot 97 but this could be the Breakfast Club.

We have the Gamay Papi and Mini Mami of the wine world.

Please welcome my good friends Cam Sizemore and host Minji Kwon to Wear Many Hats.

  • 49. Lia Kantrowitz & Kelsey Niziolek

We have Lia Kantrowitz and Kelsey Niziolek from the brand Sunday School, the hottest nuns around putting out soft goods such as hoodies, tees, and long-sleeves of their illustrations.

Lia is an illustrator who has worked for Vice, The New York Times, Medium, Business Week and Bloomberg.

Her recent design is for our good friend Missy and her band Mannequin Pussy for their new EP out on Epitaph called “Perfect” and it’s perfect.

Kelsey is an illustrator who has worked for GQ, Barron, The New York Times, Splice, and The New Yorker.

Her recent design is for our good friends from Philly in Spirt of The Beehive for their new t-shirt for their new album ‘There’s Nothing you Can’t Do” but these two can literally do everything.

I love both of your last names, but I’m terrible with remembering names and pronouncing them but they hot fire just like their designs.

    No time to cry.

  • 48. Bryndon Cook - Starchild & The New Romantic

Bryndon Cook is a star and a romantic.

Yes I’m taking it from his music moniker Starchild & The New Romantic.

A multidisciplinary artist, actor & music director. Composing & recording music as Starchild & The New Romantic. Previously creative work includes collaborations with Solange, Kelsey Lu and Blood Orange. Guggenheim Museum, Sydney Opera House & Hollywood Bowl.

He has a live album performed at National Sawdust, I caught his set at Warm Up for the first time with the Poetic Trust homies backed him up. Blessed him with Dahsar gear and it was great to come run into him again.

My previous studiomate Hassan Rahim blessed the art direction for the album cover for ‘Language’ that released through one of my favorite labels, Ghostly International. Including his previous album before that, ‘Crucial.’

VHS 1138 and his new record, ‘Forever’ is off of Starchild’s label, New Romantic World.

Please welcome Bryndon Cook of Starchild & The New Romantic to Wear Many Hats.
