The CrushCity Hartwell Slam presented by Sufix is set to be contested March 28-29 at Lake Hartwell in Anderson, SC.  This will be the Association of Collegiate Anglers' first event of 2026 on the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series.  Close to 290 teams have registered to compete for more than $20,000 in prizes and contingencies, as well as triple points to count towards the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.  The special guests on EP. 249 of the Rapala #WeAreCollegiateBass Podcast are Peyton Harris & Dalton Head from top ranked University of Montevallo.  The duo won the ACA's last event contested at Lake Hartwell, the historic 20th Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops.  Tune in to hear them talk about Lake Hartwell and Montevallo's season so far!

Earlier this year, 5th ranked Emmanuel University won the Bassmaster College Series event at Lake Okeechobee.  Team members Peyton Dunn & Luke Mcguffin got the win with a two-day total weight of 32 pounds 14 ounces.  That victory helped Emmanuel to jumpstart their 2026 campaign and propel them into 5th place currently in the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.  Tune in to EP. 248 of the Rapala #WeAreCollegiateBass Podcast to hear them break down the victory and more!

Garrett Ring & Trace Antunes from number one ranked University of Montevallo won the latest Bassmaster College Series event at Sam Rayburn Reservoir.  The duo weighed in a two-day total weight of 53 pounds 6 ounces to take the tournament title.  In the latest points update to the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia, five-time defending title winner University of Montevallo was ranked number one.  This marks the first time during the 2025-26 season in which Montevallo has been atop the rankings.  Tune in to EP. 247 of the Rapala #WeAreCollegiateBass Podcast to hear about it all!

The MLF College Series recently contested its National Championship at Lake Murray in South Carolina.  Matthew Knopp and Logan Russell from 5th ranked Lander University won the event with a three-day total weight of 70 pound 10 ounces.  Matthew and Logan are the special guests on EP. 246 of the Rapala #WeAreCollegiateBass Podcast.  Tune in now to hear them discuss the major victory, as well as talk about Lander's goals towards the 2025-26 Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.

Garrett Ring and Trace Antunes from 2nd ranked University of Montevallo won the recent Bassmaster College Series event at the Kissimmee Chain in Florida.  The pair weighed in a two-day total weight of 47 pounds 12 Ounces.  The major victory earns Montevallo very valuable points to count towards the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.  Montevallo has won the title five straight times and is looking to claim its sixth this season.  Tune in to EP. 245 of the Rapala #WeAreCollegiateBass Podcast to hear from the two anglers!

The special guests on EP. 242 of the Rapala #WeAreCollegiateBass Podcast are Aiden Grad, Brennan Osborn, and Jaiden Sobczyk.  These anglers are members of the 39th ranked Simpson University Bass Fishing Team in California.  They travel from the west coast, making multi-day long road trips, to compete in major college fishing events.  Simpson University anglers have competed in numerous Association of Collegiate Anglers events in recent years, and competed at both events on the 2025-26 Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series so far this season.  Tune in to hear them talk about their pride in representing the west coast, and what it means to them to be able to compete in collegiate bass fishing.

Tripp Berlinsky & Bryce DiMauro from 3rd ranked University of North Alabama won the AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open at Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, AR.  The Association of Collegiate Anglers' second event of the 2025-26 season on the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series saw over 270 anglers compete for more than $20,000 in prizes and contingencies, as well as double points to count towards the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.  The two UNA anglers took home top honors with a two-day total weight of 33.77 pounds.  Tune in to EP. 241 of the Rapala #WeAreCollegiateBass Podcast to hear them talk about the major tournament victory, UNA's goals for this season, and more!
