Good morning, Minneapolis! Let's dive into this rollercoaster of a weather week.
Tonight, we're looking at a crisp and clear evening with temperatures dropping to around 29 degrees. A gentle south southeast wind will be whispering at around 5 miles per hour.
Monday brings a bit of cloudiness, warming up to a pleasant 56 degrees. That same soft south southeast wind will stick around.
But buckle up, because Monday night is where things get interesting! We've got a 50 percent chance of rain after midnight, with temperatures settling around 44 degrees and a light southeast breeze.
Tuesday is going to be a wet one, folks. Expect rain with temperatures maxing out near 47 degrees. Those winds will start gentle but pick up, potentially gusting up to 30 miles per hour. We're looking at about a tenth to a quarter inch of precipitation.
Now, here's where it gets wild - Tuesday night transitions from rain to snow, possibly mixing with rain after 1 am. Temperatures will plummet to around 28 degrees, with blustery north winds hitting 20 miles per hour and gusts up to 40 miles per hour. We might see one to three inches of snow accumulation.
Wednesday continues the winter drama with snow and potential blowing snow, temperatures struggling to reach 35 degrees. Those winds will keep things lively at 15 to 25 miles per hour.
The latter part of the week looks more stable, with sunny and partly cloudy conditions, and temperatures gradually climbing back into the low to mid 40s.
