Good morning, Portland! I'm your friendly neighborhood meteorologist here to break down what Mother Nature has in store for us this week.
First up, we've got a Wind Advisory in effect, so buckle up for some breezy conditions! Tonight, expect rain rolling in after 5 am, with temperatures dipping to around 46 degrees. A gentle southeast wind will be keeping us company at around 5 miles per hour.
Monday is going to be a wet one, folks! Rain will be our main companion, potentially transitioning to showers and even a thunderstorm in the afternoon. Temperatures will climb to a mild 56 degrees. Winds will be playing musical chairs, starting from the east and shifting to the south, with gusts reaching up to 28 miles per hour. Pack that waterproof jacket!
Monday night keeps the precipitation party going with showers and possible thunderstorms. Temperatures remain around 46 degrees, but winds will really pick up - we're talking a south southwest wind around 23 miles per hour with gusts up to 37 miles per hour.
Tuesday brings more showers, mainly in the morning, with a high near 54 degrees and breezy southwest winds. By Tuesday night, we'll get a break with partly cloudy skies and temperatures dropping to 38 degrees.
Midweek looks more promising! Wednesday brings mostly sunny skies and a pleasant high of 61 degrees. Thursday offers a slight chance of rain with temperatures again hitting 61 degrees.
The weekend forecast suggests increasing rain chances, with Saturday looking particularly wet and temperatures hovering around 56 degrees.
