Here's the weather script:
Good morning, Portland! This is your weather update, and boy, do we have a chilly and potentially messy forecast coming our way.
We're currently under a Cold Weather Advisory and a Winter Storm Warning, so buckle up and prepare for some interesting weather.
Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies with temperatures dropping to around 26 degrees Fahrenheit. Those east northeast winds will be whipping around at about 11 miles per hour, with gusts reaching up to 26 miles per hour. Bundle up, folks!
Thursday is going to be a weather cocktail. We're looking at rain and snow, possibly mixed with sleet in the morning, then transitioning to rain and freezing rain. The snow level will start low at 500 feet but climb up to 4000 feet in the afternoon. Temperatures will barely nudge up to around 31 degrees Fahrenheit. There's a 90 percent chance of precipitation, with a possibility of light ice and snow accumulation.
Thursday night continues the wintry mix, with rain, freezing rain, and potential snow. Temperatures will hover around 29 degrees Fahrenheit.
Friday brings more precipitation drama, with a chance of rain, freezing rain, and snow, gradually transitioning to just rain. Temperatures will inch up to 37 degrees Fahrenheit.
The weekend looks wet, with rain likely on Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will gradually warm up, reaching near 49 degrees Fahrenheit on Sunday.
Next week continues the rainy trend, with temperatures staying mild in the low 50s.
