Story Transcript:

Cy: Roedd Rhys a Carys yn sefyll ar ruban o eira trwchus, ac yn edrych allan dros y tir gwyllt euraidd o'u blaenau.
En: Rhys and Carys were standing on a thick ribbon of snow, looking out over the golden wilderness before them.

Cy: Roeddynt yng nghoetiroedd caled Mynyddoedd Eryri, lle mae'r tirwedd yn llym ac anghysbell, wedi'i hysgubo mewn eira gwyn llachar.
En: They were in the tough forests of the Mynyddoedd Eryri, where the landscape is rugged and remote, swept in bright white snow.

Cy: Er bod yr awyr yn glir yn y bore hwnnw, roedd gwynt oer yr hydref yn chwythu trwy'r coed derw fel cyseinydd llesmaer, gan dapiau ar ofal Carys.
En: Even though the sky was clear that morning, the cold autumn wind was blowing through the oak trees like a resonant chime, tapping at Carys's caution.

Cy: "Rhy drwm ydy eira heddiw," meddai, ei llygaid yn syllu tua'r copa anorchfygol.
En: "The snow is too heavy today," she said, her eyes gazing towards the unconquerable peak.

Cy: Ond roedd Rhys yn chwerthin yn ddibryder.
En: But Rhys laughed, carefree.

Cy: "Bydd yn iawn, Carys," meddai'n hyderus, ei llais yn llawn brwdfrydedd.
En: "It will be fine, Carys," he said confidently, his voice full of enthusiasm.

Cy: "Dim ond taith arall ydyw.
En: "It's just another journey."

Cy: "Trodd Carys ei llygaid ar Rhys.
En: Carys turned her eyes to Rhys.

Cy: Roedd ei chefnogaeth yn adleisio ymrestra y tirwedd.
En: His support echoed the resilient landscape.

Cy: Roedd hi'n gwybod bod Rhys bob amser yn dyheu am anturiaethau.
En: She knew Rhys always yearned for adventures.

Cy: Fodd bynnag, mae hi'n dal i deimlo amser caeth mewn bygythiedig.
En: However, she still felt a tense sense of trepidation.

Cy: "Edrych," pechoder Rhys, yn pwysleisio i'r paith.
En: "Look," urged Rhys, pointing to the expanse.

Cy: "Rhaid i ni symud ymlaen cyn bod storm yn cyrraedd.
En: "We have to move on before a storm arrives."

Cy: "Gydag awydd i weld y cyd-destun o'u hamgylch, cymmerodd Rhys camau pendant ymlaen.
En: With a desire to see the context around them, Rhys took decisive steps forward.

Cy: Roedd Carys ar ei sodlau, ei bryder yn soi ar ddwrn ei gwytnwch.
En: Carys was on his heels, her concern simmering at the edge of her resilience.

Cy: Wedi'u hamgylchynu gan dawelwch a phurdeb Eryri, cymerasant eu blebythrau mewn cwblhau arafus nes iddynt droso seibor tua'r copa.
En: Surrounded by the silence and purity of Eryri, they took their time in slow completion until they crossed towards the summit.

Cy: Pan oeddynt yn cyrraedd tua brig y mynydd, dechreuodd awel galed o'r de i ganu.
En: As they reached near the top of the mountain, a harsh wind from the south began to sing.

Cy: Doedd na ddim predictable am yr ias syfrdanol o eira a daeth yn sydyn.
En: There was nothing predictable about the sudden stunning flurry of snow.

Cy: Edrychai Rhys ac Carys ar ei gilydd, on benderfynol i barhau roeddent yn cael eu drysu.
En: Rhys and Carys looked at each other, but determined to continue, they were perplexed.

Cy: Heb unrhyw sylw, llosgodd y niwl drwy'r mynyddoedd, gan orchuddio'r dolor i'w opticau.
En: Without any warning, a mist swept through the mountains, covering the dolor from their view.

Cy: Rhoddodd Rhys ei faner fel y signal o glymu, a sylweddoli gwylio, nad trefn yw hyn i ryfela gyda'r natur.
En: Rhys held up his banner as a signal of binding, realizing in observance that this was no fight against nature.

Cy: "Rhaid i ni droi yn ôl, Carys!
En: "We must turn back, Carys!"

Cy: " cydiodd Rhys ar ei gyfarfod, ei lais yn ddifrifol a siomedig.
En: Rhys exclaimed, meeting her gaze with a serious and disappointed tone.

Cy: Lluniodd barn bryder Carys ar sawl datgudd i gadw ei hadlais ei hun, gan din strôc drwy'r ffyn ar eu ffordd yn ôl.
En: Carys formed her worried thoughts into several realizations to keep her own echo, striking through the twigs on their way back.

Cy: Adnabodd adref, cynnes y gwersyll, roedd gynnau drws agored o ddiogelwch i'w hamddiffyn.
En: Recognizing the warmth of the camp at home, the open doors of safety protected them.

Cy: Edrychai Rhys ar Carys gyda diffyg hyder a llais drwsgl eto tawel.
En: Rhys looked at Carys with a lack of confidence and a clumsy yet quiet voice.

Cy: "diolch am gefnogi fi, Carys.
En: "Thank you for supporting me, Carys.

Cy: Dysgais y pwysigrwydd o wrando a drwsio'n gyfrwys," meddai Rhys, yn gwenu yn ddiolchgar.
En: I learned the importance of listening and mending wisely," Rhys said, smiling gratefully.

Cy: Doedd neb wedi anwybyddu rhoi eu hanadl i'r tyddyn, heb amheuaeth, i ddysgu am y ffordd cywir i fentro yn niogrwydd y bryniau gwyllt, dim ond pan gallwn.
En: No one disregarded giving their breath to the farmhouse, undoubtedly, to learn about the right way to venture into the wild hills, only when we can.

Cy: Nid y ni all addo fan hyn ymlaen, ond rûd o niw censor yn trafod ddoethineb y dyddiau diwethaf, rhaniad ar eu hysteroedd.
En: We may not promise from here onwards, but there was a sense of conversation debating the wisdom of recent days, a division in their reflections.

Cy: Yn y nos, wrth i'r erfyn anfon yn felys, llediodd Rhys ac ildiodd i'r gwersyll.
En: At night, as the evening softened sweetly, Rhys relaxed and yielded to the camp.

Cy: Roedd arlliw o heddwch, bod Rhys wedi dysgu gwyyn.
En: There was a hint of peace, knowing that Rhys had learned wisdom.

Cy: Roedd y mynyddoedd wedi'u cuddio â llachar, ond bydd y darnau hynny o'u hathro a'r benllys yn aros o eu cofnodion o'r eira niwlog a'r amgylchedd gwyllt, sydd bellach mewn ennyd, fel ymgartoeddu o gymesur a chanllaw.
En: The mountains were cloaked in brightness, but those pieces of their teacher and the wilderness remained in their records of the foggy snow and the wild environment, now in a moment, like a gathering of harmony and guidance.
