Identify stages of preterm development and its impact on skill progression, common behaviors and stress signals displayed by preterm infants, and strategies to support this.

Identify necessary components of infant development that indicate a readiness to begin and sustain oral feeding
Describe feeding techniques that support infant directed progression of care

0-15 minutes: Introduction

15-60 minutes: Foundations for neurodevelopmental care in the NICU; supporting development in the extrauterine environment
60-105 minutes: Foundation for feeding success in the NICU; stages of development, feeding techniques, problem solving
105-120 minutes: Wrap up and Questions
