Take a listen to the 2nd episode of "The WEView" panel discussion show featuring:
Produced by Viktor Devonne for the WEBurlesque Podcast Network
Session 2 features excitement for the impending Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender, with panelists shouting out some of their favorites they look forward to cheer on; Joona Bae opens the topic of on-stage versus off-stage personas and that leads into a discussion of when being "on" particularly when in a relationship; finally, a listener wants to know if they're a creeper for wanting to join their friend's OnlyFans and the panel discusses the ethics and possibilities of why or why not. What do you think?

Beau Briefs if Seattle chats about what boylesque means to him, plus more about his favorite obsession: underwear, and sometimes appearing in less; from the car ride that led to getting on stage, dressing up like a turkey, what regional burlesque at large looks like, and what winning the Silver Tusk Award for Equipment Manager was like.

Fantastic emcee, enterainer, and trailblazer Alotta Boutté (San Francisco) joins Viktor Devonne to talk only so briefly about a fantastic 30 years on stage with the last 15 or so dedicated to burlesque. Let's get into it, as we go from Harlem Shake Burlesque at the goat farm, sideways up-and-downs from legends (and warm embraces from others!), feeling hot, relevancy, Beach Blanket Babylon, and working hard.

WEBurlesque is back! Our first episode is a dual video/audio format* featuring the Emolesque Festival producers Regal Mortis, Raina Sinclair, and Noctua of New York City. We discuss the inaugural edition of the event, held in April at Coney Island, and set to feature gobs of eyeliner and pathos. Including a primer on what "emo" is, the approach and mission to project these interpretations to the larger state, and why it's held in the historical pantheon of Coney.

The Music That Made WE volume 5 continues with our first collaboration; this one with Rex Halligan of #ShirtlessHistory to discuss Irish history (1740 to 1930s) as best can be abbreviated with the format.
Rex is a sexy historian based in New York, where he also co-produces Fire and Fury Burlesque. He began his Shirtless History series informally (and still only whenever the mood strikes) during the pandemic, covering topics often (but not limited to!) on the topic of emerald isle. We get a crash course in a friendly, concise way, and with tunes that represent the pride and tumultuous times leading just before the Troubles (come back next year for that one; it'll be a doozy).
This soundtrack includes mainstays of Irish popular music like Dropkick Murphys, The Pogues, and Seo Linn plus some deeper cuts and takes on traditional melodies. + Stick around for Viktor's hidden bonus track.
