In this episode of the Joy Reid Show, Joy discusses the current

political climate in America, focusing on the actions of federal

agencies like ICE and the psychological tactics being employed against

marginalized communities. Joy and her guest, Fernand Amandi, delve into

the violence being enacted against black and brown communities, the fear

of ethnic cleansing, and the broader implications for American

governance and democracy. Next Repressentative-Elect Adelita Grijalva

joins the show to discuss House Speaker Mike Johnson's continued refusal

to swear her in and the perhaps not so secret reasons why, underneath

all of his excuses. Joy then moves on to talk about Paul "A bit of a

Nazi streak" Ingrassia the Trump nominee to lead the Office of Special

Counsel, who has declined the position in the light of his disturbing

racist, pro-Nazi, comments being made public. Joy is then joined by

Louisiana political activist and consultant Gary Chambers Jr and local

Mississippi District Attorney Scott Colom as the three discuss the

shifting political landscape in the South, particularly focusing on the

power of the Black vote and the need for Democratic investment in

Southern campaigns. Lastly Randi Weingarten the President of the

American Federation of Teachers (AFT) comes on to the show to talk about
