This week we are giving our thoughts on "Gotham By Gaslight". Lex is off this week so I brought in special guest host Dustin to help me parse through one of our favorite elseworlds tales; A Tale of the Batman: Gotham by Gaslight.

Considered to be the first Elseworlds story in which DC Comics characters from alternate timelines or realities are featured in stories outside of the DC Universe canon. Gotham by Gaslight is a re-imagining of Batman in the Victorian era. Batman is a Victorian vigilante who scours the dark streets of Gotham City to find the elusive and infamous serial killer Jack the Ripper.

This single-issue story was released in 1989 and was written by Brian Augustyn, penciled by Mike Mignola, inked by P Craig Russell, and colored by David Hornung.
