These are the types of high brow questions buried in violence and nudity by the show covered this week, the thriller drama known as Elfen Lied. This is a show that takes a little bit to kick in, but once you get the over arching themes makes for a good watch...if you can completely avoid caring about the characters. Is it an elf if it has horns? Why are such bad ass powers look like paper mache? Is it possible to be both dangerous and do baby talk? This is a show that could have fallen into the pit of forgettable harem, but instead was an amazing tale of overcoming systemic corruption and holding tight to those you care about during times of war.
