Weekend Roundup with Jon Mitchell

We talk about how the controversial Amara development was overturned after its initial approval by the Colorado Springs City Council. Plus, can the Air Force football team still win after losing 17 starters from last year's nine-win season? We'll take an in-depth look at the 2024 season.

Smash-and-grab robberies are on the rise in Colorado Springs, and smoke shops are being hit the hardest. We explore what some of the root causes are. Plus, we'll give some props to some of the Colorado athletes who were in the Summer Olympics in Paris and bring you some audio from opening night at the new Ford Ampitheater on the north end of Colorado Springs.

This week, Jon Mitchell sits down with Gazette reporter Mary Shinn to find out why military leadership in Colorado Springs thinks the Citadel mall is dangerous enough to keep service people from going there, plus we find out how Colorado Springs fits into Team USA's early success at the Summer Olympics in Paris.
