When our journey on earth is over, we will find that we have never truly been home here. Can you picture what it will be like to see God restore every atom, insect, animal and galaxy to its original glory? We will be restarting the "New Jerusalem" without the consequences of sin and what a wonderful day that will be!

Much of the tension we see in the Bible, and the tension we see in the world, reflect the coming tension between Jesus and Satan. How often do you think about the second coming of Jesus? What do you think it will be like to see Jesus defeat the enemy and invite us to rule with him forever?

Several times in the New Testament the church is referred to as the bride of Christ. The image of a wedding denotes unity and intimacy between Jesus and all Christians. As you think about how you are living your life this week, how unified are you with Jesus? What could you do differently that would more accurately reflect a close relationship with Jesus?

Our God is a God of second chances. How many of us know that but how many of us actually live that out in our lives. God extends grace to us every day.

In chapter one Jonah ran. In chapter two Jonah prayed. When we get into trouble, we often run away from God but what we can do instead is learn to run to God and pray. The next time you face a trial or a difficulty, before you run, stop and pray.
