It's been almost a year since we have released a WEEKLY SKETCHBOOK episode. We needed a bit of a break to reflect and finish up a few projects.. This episode is a little different than the original format we started with.. First it's just RC. this time and 2nd we are recording outside the studio.

On today's episode of the podcast, Tyler and RC work on an off-the-cuff radio drama. No visuals; sound only. RC started the project with some Foley sounds and the two added VO on the spot to make a 90 second clip of a story. There are plans for a longer, scripted episode in the future, so keep an eye out for that!

On this week's episode of the podcast, RC does an interview with his old friend Alleyes Mainfest aka Michael Bridgmon. Currently, Michael has release few new projects under the moniker as James Wavey. James (as we will refer to him) is a rapper that lives in Oakland, CA and is originally from STL. Him and RC go way back -- 16 years back -- and started their rap careers together. They talk rap, spirituality, growing up, and hip hop culture. James is a magnetic kind of dude, and it was fantastic to hear him and RC go back to the good ol' days. You can check out James and his music at the links below:

On this week's episode of the podcast, we are talking spiritual. Tyler and RC have both been on spiritual quests to find what speaks to them, and Tyler shares this week about a new teacher (of sorts) that he has found through freelancing: the 7th Lubavitcher Rebbe of the Chabad movement, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of blessed memory. The Rebbe (as Rabbi Schneerson is often called) was extremely influential throughout the world both spiritually and politically. He was extremely intelligent, hard working, and kind. His messages of positivity and unity show us how to live life in a more uplifting, spiritual way, and that doesn't just go for the Jewish community that follows him. If you'd like to read more about the Rebbe, I highly recommend Joseph Telushkin's Biography titled Rebbe: The Life and Teachings of Menachem M. Schneerson, the Most Influential Rabbi in Modern History.
