I'm putting together a lil EP of the tracks I did for Modus Interactive's Super 10 Pin (link here https://store.steampowered.com/app/2383820/Super_10_Pin/ or here https://modus-interactive.itch.io/super10pin), and I am remastering tracks that are able to be remastered (I made the mistake of bouncing some of these tracks directly from hardware that I no longer have. Digitone 1, I might have missed you enough to buy the Digitone 2, but your presets saved to that file are lost to time like tears in for fears or whatever).

Here's one such lightly remastered track as a little sampling! You may have heard it before or not.

ALSO! I started a thread in the server about doing some free voiceover work if anyone wants. Nothing big, just some line read for you. Check it out.

Another dub techno jam on the modular. Might have overdone it with the rain sample here but eh, ship it. A little overcompressed too, buuut let's call it flavor.

Monumatic on chords, Manis Iteritas on bass, Helical on pads. Nautilus and Starlab on space.

I feel like there is more to be explored in this track, especially the second part which feels like it lacks some of the energy built up by the first part. But i don't have more time this week so this will do for now. Still, I'm quite happy as it is.

Had too many ideas in this one, but stick around until 1:45 for an 8 bar banger, lol. Really pleased with those bars, but the rest, less so, haha.

I started with the buses and instruments from last week and cranked up tempo, then things went off the rails a bit. :) Too many ideas, and unable to really fully develop the good ones I had in there. I really struggled with picking instrumentation this week, which is something I haven't had much trouble with recently. I got bored and used dBlue Glitch (2) for the first time in a ages. I'm also still mixing in a super noisy environment, got about another month of that, so sorry for the crappy mix, blehhhhhh.

I stepped back into Drum & Bass/Jungle this week to try out some different drum repeat/pattern break up options.

After building out the initial drum loops, I decided to enhance the rest of the drums with patterns from ReDrum.

After setting up the bass, pads, lead and an FX track, I set up the automations.  I built out the arrangement using blocks and added effects and mixed as I went along.

After setting up the mastering chain, I exported the track.

Tracked, mixed, mastered in M8.  Finding new workflows and getting closer to a final before getting it into the box.  This has been what I learned more about through this challenge so far.  The closer your input is, the more you tweak instruments early to avoid clashes.  The more you pan and widen across L and R early, the less the grind is to get it to sound good in a mixing session.  When I started it was about double time cost b/c I would tweak for ages in studio, now it's good beginning with the end in mind.  Super happy with this.  Almost everything is hypersynth with a sprinkle of FM and linndrum/808 samples tossed in.

Fast techno to play WipEout to. It seems this week I've unintentionally synthesized the sounds of a drunk crow... while trying to make a cool squelchy acid bass sound. I was using my new Behringer MonoPoly, a clone of the Korg MonoPoly. It's a simple synth, very limited. But it's also kind of fun.

I quite like that drunken parrot sound...not sure about the track though. There are some decent ideas in it. But I think it's a lacking a hook. And bass may very well over stay its welcome. But I've lost all perspective on this tune. Besides, we do need to keep the streak going. So you tell what you think of it. As always, any and all feedback is welcome.
