Crazy week for writing this week, which is good as I am stockpiling ideas ready for the birth of our second child at the end of the month - I will try my darnest to keep up the streak!
Going back to a more full, involved arrangement and mix - trying to channel the almighty Phoebe Bridgers with the ambience, tape-y saturation and a Lossy-styled plugin called maim - designed to give an MP3 style bitcrushing effect... I'm not top sure I'm using it right!
Enjoyed putting the acoustic down and going for a bigger sound - more of this to come!
Thanks for any new listeners and commenters - your time and thoughts are always appreciated!
Have a great week!
Lyrics:
You were right behind me and I just left
You showed me you hand and I took the deck
You told me your secrets
I told you to leave it
You would try talk to me But I'd play deaf
Where do we go now
What do we got?
How can we built on what is not
How are ever going to give this a shot
When all that's left us apathy
All that's left is you and me
You were always chasing
I would always run away
You would always call me
I wouldnt even say your name
But you would always follow
And I would always borrow
The things that were not meant for me
Where do we go now
What do we got?
How can we built on what is not
How are ever going to give this a shot
When all that's left us apathy
All that's left is you and me
You were always honest
I was always faking
You were such a giver
You were there for the taking
I knew Id always win you
I couldn't face to lose
What i knew was batter than me
Where do we go now
What do we got?
How can we built on what is not
How are ever going to give this a shot
When all that's left us apathy
All that's left is you and me
Rewind
Its right there
The moment that it broke
In time
Ill learn
Theres no fire without some smoke
