ZKnightBros Nitemare track. Mini-game with candies for extra points and achievements. They wake up with almost no stamina.

I can't believe we're half way through. Happy Bergfest!

Some speed trash for this week. Went to see The Weeknd live yesterday and that has been great. Had little time and the heat was killing me, so I'm glad that I at least did anything.

CONGRATULATIONS ON MAKING IT THIS FAR EVERYONE! Only 26 weeks remain.

Ironically enough, this started out as a fast 90s rave style track, but eventually evolved into some emotional jungle track instead. The real shift was when I took the female house vocal sample and pitched it down four octaves and chopped it up so that it sounded like a male vocalist. Once that happened, I kind of knew where I had to go.

I am also really surprised at how clean the mix came out considering I did all of it in the car while my partner was driving. If it doesn't sound as good as I think it does, I'm sorry. LOL

Produced entirely on the Dirtywave M8 tracker, mixed on Jeep stereo speakers. ;)

Let me know what you think! I hope you all enjoy!

Amiga 500 inspired last minute tune in REASON 14.

Nothing "too" Amiga about the sounds, but, the 80s vibe is there.

Something in this project kept glitching my DAW, making tracks dance around and gradually downpitching and degrading  some instruments over time, so towards the end I had to restart every 20 seconds or so. I eventually stopped wanting to work on such a glitched project that I decided it was finished XD

And that's the story of this week's not quite finished but good enough track. Happy WB half year to everyone!

embix gave me the idea to run my track from last week through a gater and use it as a foundation for a trance track, so I did (almost) exactly that. I did not run the whole track through a gater, but just the main synth and built something completely new out of it. The result is a very relaxed summerish Trance track at 132 BPM.

While building, Logic drove me insane. Like last week I have seen the "System Overload" message more often than I can count - turns out that the Multisample Oscillator in Serum 2 completely strains my CPU. I only found this out hours into the track, so parts of creating if were a real challenge in patience :D I literally unloaded the synth patch, build the rest of the track and then for bouncing loaded the correct synth patch again 🙃 At least now I know the culprit 😅

round 6 of the 2026 monthly emily collab! halfway through the year, HOLY CARPS

› the process‹ the process

once a month emily and i set up some gear to do some recording & see what comes to the surface. we then go to our respective corners to layer & mix without listening to what the other is doing.

we don't listen to the other's mix until after it goes live on WB  :)

this month was another change-up as i was away from home for the week (thankfully i had a small pile of gear with me).

we agreed to each take 30 minutes to record 3 tracks, then send those tracks to the other to layer on for an additional 30 minutes, and then mix/ finalize.

emily sent me a great foundation to build on, and i'm very curious to hear what she did with the tracks i sent her.

ok!

wondering through worried creeks

our feet are wet with promise

guardians are scurrying

and standing at alert

no matter where the empty leads

i'll always find your hand

find me in the hidden creek

a doorway to the land
