Been busy this week and did not really have the time I wanted for this one, but I am quite happy with it anyway. Tried to incorporate some other VSTS here but had a lot of technical issues.

Tried dialing back the reverb here a bit and worked a bit on the expressions/dynamics of the instruments. I think putting more time into that is a large key to a good and dynamic song.

I spent hours trying to make a song happen this week(end) and I failed. I was not fun. I wrote a few ok loops, an interesting introduction for an ambient track, I added details here and there. But no song. No track. Nothing I could make bloom. So I resigned myself to mix and upload an old demo I don't really like. Better luck next week I hope!

I liked it more when it was just 4 phrases. Techno just wants to be simple and automated. But whatevs. Checkmark #23!

I had my hydrasynth away for repairs for the past few months, and it just got returned in a fixed state this week. So, I had some fun with adding it to an ambient piece this week. Tempera has a bunch of hydrasynth samples for an ambient bed and then I'm playing a rhythmic hydrasynth patch live over top of it all. Pleased with the result! Thanks for listening!

Clawing my way back into music production. I really let life get ahead of me the past while, so I'm absolutely thrilled to have an empty calendar and lots of ideas now. Real wb hours.

“The combination of circumstances which allows it to exist at all are so implausible that Schistostega is rendered much more precious than gold.... It’s life, and ours, exist only because of a myriad of synchronicities that bring us to this particular place at this particular moment. In return for such a gift, the only sane response is to glitter in reply.”

still having fun with the modular system.  which of course had some more rearranging happen.  vcas and filters are "nice" to have.

as usual, everything is live and quite odd.  i (thought i) had another recording that i liked a lot, but discovered i didn't press the record button well enough and thus here we are with the fallback.  same setup, a bit less fun.
