I was feeling completely lethargic last week when I started this, and I wanted to try to make it sound like how I felt. Outside the sky was dark grey, and I was laying on my bed with my laptop, the bed filled with stuff since i didn't have energy to clean.

Today I finished it up with some percussions, and I recorded some foley noises on top.

Burnout is hitting hard this week, and I partly wrote a poem about it and partly freeflowed it.

Didn't really have the energy, so I guess it's a bit more of the battle going on inside my head.

Me vs. myself, my own greatest enemy, but the only person that can beat me up is me if I don't succeed.

But at the end of the day, I said I wanted to sing more, not really sure if this is singing or a bit of slam poetry or something, but it will do

I'm a little annoyed at this one, as a bunch of unforced errors on my part lead to this being very much unfinished, but it's Sunday now and I have to leave in an hour and I cannot do anything meaningful to it.

Technically, I have half written lyrics for this, but they're trash and I didn't find any thyme (get it? I'm hilarious, I know) to record them anyway.

It's a pretty cool bop, though, and it is CC, so if anyone wants to make anything out of this, knock yourself out, please.

Hello there reader/listener, welcome to my first attempt at making something decent, even though it's called test 2; the first one isn't much.

This is a remix of our very first song submitted to WeeklyBeats all the way back in 2012, when we were but a wee 21 year old singlet (3 days before turning 22 in fact), putting all those years of practice into that and coming with this

We still have the project files from back then, the exact same ones, to the point I started out transplanting the whole project from LMMS to Waveform wholesale, soundfonts and all

Chaotic week. Visited home town w/ VTC. Ups and downs until final day. Just down. G there most of the time. glimpse into their world. Happy for her. Wish we could get along better. Car maintenance, finances consolidated, and work on career change attempted. Could not get home fast enough at the end. No recognition of my experience only failures for problems I didn't start. Long drives filled w/ music and vid essays. Greatful for AL. Watching music videos a lot lately. Good reminder of that people do cool things and that it maters sometimes when you can control nothing. Culture is a by-product of living and systems by the cultureless are malleable if we remember we are the creators.

K's B-day get together. Viet food. Hung out w/ T&K, L&R&P, for a nice evening. Got matching hats. Talked about music life kids. Took turns playing w/ P. Watched the heavy rain. Listened to some Yatch rock.

Three separate songs made in Ableton testing different tools and genres. Mostly done on laptop speakers around an hour (or 2) long sessions for each.

Simple Glide - Listened to new Machinedrum song and felt like trying a bit of footwork/juke. It had been a while. Casio rapman sample and ableton stock drum loop cut up. Played with layering RX950 for bitcrushing. Tracker mindset w/ mono and lofi. Thought about after seeing live production MD did on YT. Felt satisfied with revisit and moved on. Didn't want to sort structure further.

Filter Test -  After last song, remembered RX1200 and played w/ it for a bit with the stock sounds. Stumbled on a 00's house groove and layered some things for fun. Didn't want to sort structure further. Moved on.

qixer -  Forgot about early songs from the week. quick track made generatively using Ableton's modulators and midi tools. Randomized midi notes and filtered them through different processing layers to generate musical outcomes. Automated some mutes and fade ins and added randomized glitch effect on tonal layers. Used arpeggios on drums with modulated rates and chance. 3 drum variations used to change things. Recorded the outcome on 2 layers on first playback. Will not playback the same again but, can retrieve recorded results.
