Another quickie sunvox tune. Had tried adding pads and keys on top of this but was just clashing. Hoping to get outta this rut soon so I can bring on some more wacky bangers.

Been listening to turn of the century trip hop and really liked how I didn't care that it's supremely repetitive. So this is a similar kind of limited instrumentation with clearly delineated parts that the arrangement switches between, with some probably more involved than they should be (like that guitar part works the best when it's just one note, lol). Couldn't get the drum mix right so I bandlimited the bus, now it's lo-fi 少

This was a 'nearly abandoned' track... I started with some cassette tape ideas, but, these kinda gave way to some synthy noodles. Then on Saturday I picked up (another) Kastle synth. This then became a test of many ideas and some knob twiddling... I'm not sure how it all holds together, to me this feels very much like an 'album track'.

Overall.. It's been a mad busy week, but I'm happy to get week 20 done, in 2024 I stumbled at week 19 becasue of some health issues, so it feels good to get past that little marker. Let's keep exploring sound together, yeah?

I considered letting this week lapse due to being lazy and particularly uninspired. However I have a lot of work left unfinished and figured this would be a good opportunity to catch up. I have a few dozen loops from last year that I made with the Octatrack and Digitakt II. I no longer own either instrument, but I did bounce the loops into wav before shipping them out. This week, the loop comes from the Octatrack, with drums, bass, and arrangement done on Koala, then recorded through the SP404mkII into Logic.

Something simple and unserious for this week; 95% done on M8 tracker with some final tweaks in Ableton.

This week was some more practice with delay and reverb. It starts as pause menu music and kind of devolves from there.

It's not my favorite track but it serves to keep the WB streak alive!
