  • Week 18 - Vet - Featherbottom
Another cleanup piece for Kinetic, but a fun one with a lot of nostalgia. I was super into Skull Taste when it came out from Mux Mool, and I found a way to replicate a funky sounding bass in some way or another. I couldn't help myself and made some glitchy arps and hard hitting snares. I reviewed the mix, punched everything up EQ wise, pulled things back with limiters, and hopefully I don't cringe at my mix years down the line!

  • Week 18 - Celio_Morya - Culture Cruisers - Viking Silk Route
This week I barely made it across the finish line, but I still wanted to bring something with a strong vision behind it.
The idea was to imagine a Viking spirit crossing the ancient Silk Road, carrying that raw northern strength through distant lands, temples, deserts, mountains, and forgotten kingdoms. Along the way, it absorbs the traditional sonorities of those cultures — ancient strings and oboe´s, ritual rhythms, mystical Northen voices, and earthy melodies — and transforms them into something celestial and futuristic.
I wanted the track to feel like an old legend seen through the stars: traditional, powerful, and spiritual, but also glowing with sci-fi atmospheres, deep chillstep energy, and a sense of cosmic travel.
It is not as polished as I would have liked and the structure could be better, but it carries the emotion of the journey. A meeting point between ancient warriors, Silk Road dreams, and future skies.
    Track made on logicX 11,1,1
    All virtual istruments and samples
    BPM 124 E
exported at -1db truepeak level no master original mix
    Tkx for listening !!

  • Week 18 - fetalface - Community Singing Circle Excerpts
Sorry to submit without description earlier, I had to upload between singing circle to take my parents to our first ever tai chi class (I made us late, but I apologized).
I've been helping lead a +/- monthly singing circle in Sacramento for the past 10 years. It is fun, healing, challenging, and so many other things. I don't usually record but got some snippets this time in lieu of a weekly beat... this is abridged, I'll see if I can put the full excerpts up on my bandcamp.
Oh, my bad, this month's wonderful singers were:
Mary, Carrie (not scary), Jeannie, Buddy Jim, Cheryl, Logan, Miguel, Mark, Begonia Begonia, Anuj, and Rachel.
UNCENSORED 56 minute, 28 second version on Bandcamp here: https://fetalface.bandcamp.com/track/wb … uncensored

  • Week 18 - SQF - boild grilled fried - W18
This morning I said to myself, damn, maybe I wont post anything this week things just aren't coming together.
I pushed through and assembled 3 sketches built on drum sample loops, old song parts and FM sound design on the m8. I like how it turned out. I like that I'm not skipping a week, though it is TOTALLY FINE TO SKIP :)
I have some listening catching up to do, thanks again ya'lllll

  • Week 18 - Ashtom - The Long Wait
I had what I thought was a good foundation for a high tempo, high energy, dance track but today I couldn't make it work the way I hoped to.
So I salvaged what I could at the last moment to make some broken lofi cassette ambient with recycled parts of it.
It all comes from the Deluge, recorded at high speed on the Portastudio, then played a slow speed. Then I drenched the whole recording in Valhalla Space Modulator and Supermassive.
Next week I'll be travelling so the music making might get even more trickier...
    Anyway, have a great week!
