When passion bites, it bites hard. This is another remixed unreleased track I did over last summer before I bought the guitar so I tracked some guitars 2 hours before the deadline.

This one has all my favorite vsts, I chopped up some drums on the Akai S1000 (not a weakly beats experience) some vocals from my collection and away we go. 24 Tracks mixed in Ableton.

Thank you for your continued support as I remix some tracks from the vault, until I can free up some time. Always some guitar as I am still exploring that instrument when I have an hour.

My last few weeks of submissions have been a little wonky and/or stressful, so I'm keeping this one simple. I was enjoying playing my modded-to-stereo Bass VI as a stereo instrument (rather than my initial intention for the mod: a bass channel and a guitar channel), and I found a bass groove I enjoyed playing. I had observed on a friend's track recently that I needed to remember I am allowed to write minimally. So this is that bass groove, incidental synth brought by Chase Bliss Lost + Found, a little guitar, and a small drum part.

There's a few flubs and some weird drops (which I think are the fault of not properly checking all the settings on my Kinotone Ribbons), but my attempts at re-recording in a more succinct and structured way didn't have the same vibe, so we're going with the 7-minute initial somewhat dubby version (is it somewhat dubby? maybe?).

Was out all week so I had to put something together today, this time using the slightly modified "SID2" variant in Furnace, which adds a few extended capabilities to the typical 3 channel chip; most notably simultaneous filters on separate channels, independent volume controls and valid [noise x waveform] output.

Figured I'd do something a little different so went with a bit of a 12/8 shuffle in E minor, but didn't get time to really lean in to extended modulations and pattern transitions.

Almost decided to skip this week, pushed through.

Played some drums earlier this week. Found some elements mostly of older sessions that fit. Put it into my Ableton live performance template to tweak effects. Ended up being a little frustrating to work with, not a perfect system yet, but the effects, they got tweaked. I win this round, effects!!! Mwahahaha.

Frustrating work week. Working on the weekend !!!??? Rare I have to do that. Still some high points, good things happening. Not gonna complain too much. Making music always helps!

Recorded all in one take, one take make

Okay you got me. The careful listener will notice multiple vocal tracks. Each track was a one take make, but that doesn't come off the tongue as well.

Also my last one take makes that I didn't even listen to before bouncing I realized audacity sucks for aligning tracks well without some delay compensation measures taken lolol. Slapped this bad boy together in logic. No autotune or any effects (except a limiter on the final mix down). More or less just trying some recent vocal discoveries out this week. Also recorded just with the laptop mic for all the tracks xD.
