Well, this officially feels like Weekly Beats again... because I finally had a bunch of time, and so I got this whole big idea, and then 4 hours before the deadline I realized I was never going to finish what I was doing in time... and so I present to you a patented Napear last minute panic induce granular synth based pivot ┐(~ー~;)┌
This week was less garbage than the week before... still reeling a bit. I survived layoffs at my company, but there's the whole survivors guilt part, the watching friends and peers get fired part, and the now there are fewer people to do the same amount of work part... but again over employed is a better problem to have than unemployed. Life never seems to get less complicated.
At any rate, I hope this finds you well, or well enough. I have lots of listening and commenting to catch up on... so fingers crossed I will have time this week to do that... but I will do my best. ღゝ◡╹ )ノ♡

Ok, so this sounds a lot more complicated than it actually is. I'm leaning pretty hard on a bunch of NI VSTs that are made for media composition (which are kind of built specifically for fast turn arounds). So there's really only 6 tracks in this project, and 2 of them are the the Vir2 Phoenix plugin.
The core arps are a preset in the Claire piano library, with a bunch of TAIP and ReplicaXT on it. Then the second arp (the xylophone and marimbas) is Mallet Flux, with a little bit of MTremoloMB. The pad, and kind of vocaly higher melodic sound is Ashilight... some TAIP, and some compression, but not really much else. And the drums are Session Percussionist, using the Drum n Space preset, and again pretty much just TAIP. All the risers are Vir2 Phoenix. Like, really the plugins are doing the heavy lifting here... I was moving super fast. I'm not stoked about the mix, but I only had about an hour to dial everything in... I would like to say that I'll come back to it and clean it up... but... who knows.
