  • Week 18 - Fàtima - Woman Clothed with the Sun
The woman gives birth to a male child who is threatened by a dragon, identified as the Devil and Satan, who intends to devour the child as soon as he is born. When the child is taken to heaven, the woman flees on eagle’s wings into the wilderness at a "place prepared of God" for 1,260 days. This leads to a "War in Heaven" in which the angels cast out the dragon.

  • Week 18 - Tone Matrix - Sky High
    › notes‹ notes
This started out with a lazyboy armchair drum thing I tapped out last year and totally forgot about until this week. I hit a point where I thought I might just shelve it for future and noodle something instead.  But I managed to push thru and had fun with the accidental outro <3
The afib gave me a 2 day break thankfully after a 27hr marathon episode Friday.  Though it was long it was at least mild compared to previous.  All I know is I'm just happy to be sharing music with everyone each week.
Thank you for listening. I look forward to checking out your music this week. <3

  • Week 18 - As_Yoesual - Sample Rate
I aimed to create a slightly minimal and moody track, with less emphasis on synths and acid sounds than recent works.
When I first made the loop, it sounded much more minimal than the final version because I struggled to find the right elements that worked solo without the other layers.
At a point, I decided to let go of my initial ideas and kept building, which resulted in a longer track.
I think it works well in a dark hall to set the mood and entrance listeners, but I wouldn't play the whole thing.
As Yoesual, I spend a lot of time tweaking stereo placement and panning, and this time, even the kick isn't strictly centred. I believe the subtle movement enhances the listening experience on quality headphones.
Since I finished this track early in the week, I focused mainly on preparing something for next week, which I plan to give proper attention to. If needed, I'll spend more than a week on it.
Anyway, I'm a bit tired, so that's all.
Hope you're all doing well! *hugs*

  • Week 18 - spry - Unusual Approach (WB18)
A bit all over the place today. Had a very strange sort of chord transition in mind for this song. Not sure if it really worked out as expected. This was one of those just gotta go with what we got sorta weeklybeats
Spent about 1 and a half hours putting together patterns for this song trying to get the parts to line up. 20 minutes putting together a pattern and another 40 minutes mixing and putting in filters and fx. I might have gone overboard with the fx but it all squashed together in the end :D

  • Week 18 - Daisy - Lamentation Chromatique
The descending chromatic scale with underlying rhythmic, hymn-like block chords cast a gentle, peaceful yet tragic feeling.  There is very little change in the dynamics of this piece, however lots of variation in the speed of nearly every measure-- so you can't dance to it.  I did this unintentionally, but it does seem to mimic human conversation and expression.  Sometimes when we talk, we speed up, then when we summarize we slow down to a conclusion with a heavy sigh.

  • Week 18 - Kaaareeegar - ahmed abad - time frozen in its movement
Wrote in joy for the city of my birth, Ahmedabad, Gujarat state, India.
Grateful to everything the city has provided.
My city culturally also known for its historic gates, known as darwaazas
In photograph : One of my evening walks to find myself in front of the Jamalpur Darwaza. Looking at the rare fantastic skyline view the gate offers, with a pigeon in flight. A swiftly moving auto rickshaw, having one of its passenger on a phone call
