I haven't been the person I thought I was going to become.

There are times where I find moments of solace. 

Unfortunately it feels like everyone is progressing and aging without me. 

I'm stuck in nostalgia because it reminds me of how innocent, naive and care free I used to be. 

I want to find my purpose again. I want to find my way back. 

But I don't know how and if I will in time. 

The thought overwhelms me.

I apologize for the debbie_downer & if the mix is off I've been dealing with a clogged right ear for about a week.  Lots of yawning.  ENT visit on Wednesday. 

EDIT: Fun fact my brain was elsewhere when I did the labeling and I mislabeled my own track! So if you're playing the home game and download the track it will stupidly say "Will I Make It Back".  I was so consumed by own question i mistyped! :o

I went to Revision over the Easter weekend, and boy did I enjoy myself! Riding that high, I wrote this funky, fast, solo-infested bop.

Maybe the track itself drank too much Club Mate too.

I picked up the parallax x from neural DSP this week, I've been enjoying making music in my living room, so DI has been the vibe on my bass. Going fully in the box has me scratching my head about all the outbox gear I've accumulated over the years. IDK, it's just the moment I'm in more than anything, I still love my gear. Drums are programmed up using soulfi, with trash 2 by izotope for distortion, and I'm ducking the drums a little with trackspacer off of the bass track. I used the new splice key detection plugin to help me find some vocal samples that I've added. I also put izotope stutter edit 2 on the master bus along with klevgrand grand finale.

I built a little keypad kit by 1up keyboards called the super 16, and the firmware can be programmed to send midi messages, so a lot of my time this week was working on a bitwig extension I'm writing that handles a bunch of my common tasks in the DAW. Trying to improve my economics in the living room LOL.

I bought a new instrument! A Plinky+. I've been looking for a poly synth to pair with the M8 and just thought this thing sounded really cool. I also love the fact that it's open source, super playable, and has a great community around it. I already added a new feature! Support for the midi command song pointer position, so it can sync with the M8s song position.

I actually managed to get more than two sections into this weeks track!
