This is my first little little jam using the M8 that I got a little over a week ago.

This is also my first weekly beets jam and also kind of my first assembled track ever really. I'm still a beginner, but the M8 makes things sound great anyways. I haven't figured out the whole mixing thing yet either, so sorry if this makes anyone's ears hurt.

I was trying for something dark, moody and grownup - but everything kept going a bit campy on me - so I just rolled with it!

This week I'm submitting a small little live improvised set that I made on my Octatrack mk2 and OP-1field.  Basically since I'm traveling, the OP one is my only thing to actually record music onto. So putting together this little live set it needed to be six minutes maximum, and I used the OP one to throw its tape effects on top of the Octatrack audio.  I made a video of it and put it on YouTube and Instagram. First off let me say thanks for all the nice comments. Things have been really busy for me in the past few weeks so I haven't had a chance to listen to anyone's tracks, so sorry I haven't been commenting back. Hopefully after Interrupt I'll have some time to listen! If you make IDM like it's the early 2000s feel free to post some links because I've been all about that kind of stuff lately.

Speaking of IDM, here's something a little different. Some easy IDM that I had on my OP-Z but never really recorded. It's a bit inspired by Cylob's excellent album Cylobian Sunset, but then it has a dubby end section which is a kind of thing Autechre would do. Turning the OP-Z on again reminded me how cool it is, and it's a bit of a shame it never became what TE originally said it'd be. But it's still a really concise little groovebox, with weird quirks and a pretty distinctive sound.

4 goddamn minutes, one take, no edits. longest I’ve done in a long time. Went more technicality with some musicality here if that makes sense. Definitely could have gone more all over the place rhythm and style wise but decided keeping it mostly to DnB as it was part of my early inspiration when figuring out I could Beatbox so it’s kinda my default. Was at least able to fit in my tempo trick at the end.
