An upbeat piece in C Major this week, as I was apparently thinking a lot about sugar and candy. I came up with the whimsical lyrics in a few minutes after playing an VNV Nation-like arpeggio, and it basically wrote itself from there. That left me lots of time to listen and re-listen and even out the balance of the mix. Still feel I have no idea what I'm doing but I feel it does sound a lot more balanced than some of my other tracks. Feel free to lend me some insight into what I could have improved, especially with regards to mixing & mastering.

Whoa! Wasn't sure I was gonna make it but sure did hehe! The track came out better than I thought it would. I had to simplify some processes that where maybe too intricate for the results they yielded and I think the track is better for it.

I had a vision one day when staring out my window... what if I did a quick and easy little bossa nova track? I had a nice chord progression already but I didn't feel like I was gonna struggle enough, so I also incorporated the Amen break – chopped to have more of a bossa feel. I stacked a ton of rhythmic layers on top to get a groove going and hopefully the end result isn't TOO chaotic (just the right amount is nice.)

Thank Furnace for 7-bit PCM mode for NES and 4-bit sampling on the VRC6 channels. It makes the Famicom feel like a super Amiga.

Pretty short sketch this week, but I like the core idea.

Did a hybrid approach starting on the M8 and then moving the stems to Ableton and recording some sax over the top. I liked this workflow a lot, going to keep experimenting with it.

Tried to channel some righteous anger into this one (albeit still sounds pretty tame, I know, lol). Let's keep making art, tear this shit down, and rebuild together. Fuck ICE.
