Up until Friday, I had no real idea on what to make this week. Then on Friday, for some reason, I had an Arp in my head running on Rave speed.

I grew up listening to Eurodance / Happy Hardcore / Candy Rave and to this day I absolutely love this kind of music. I love its energy, cheeryness and occasional cheesyness. I hope I managed to capture all of these things :D

Honestly, I had a lot of fun creating this track and was bouncing like crazy in my chair :D I hope you enjoy as much listening to it as I did creating it

A slow, introspective yet driving ambient drone jam with hardware synths. Using two Behringer 2600, Kobol Expander, Pro-1 and TD-3-MO. This is very bass heavy, probably a bit too much so. So I hope you're listening on a system that can reproduce low notes. Because if you're listening through your phone or other small speakers, you're missing out.

This week I was super inspired and decided to make something a lot groovier.

I did tons of guitar and synth work on this lil bop tbh.

Also @Namebackwards let me borrow his Hologram Electronics Chroma Console while he borrowed my Microcosm.

I love this challenge because I never would have been able to make a track like this, this fast.

Idk if anyone can even hear it but I put a lotta frustration and hope into what I write, but this week that frustration heightened due to the atrocities happening in our nation at this very moment. I ache for us. We have to keep creating and expressing humanity it is an immeasurable tool in the face of oppression. Stay strong my friends.

Crossing my fingers that the melody that I originally hummed into the voice memos app was original enough and wasn't unearthed from a subconscious memory of some film score.

Every time I try to do realistic scoring, I feel myself getting a bit more comfortable with it (even if the process is quite a bit more tedious than using a handful of soundfonts haha)
