WeGoinIN Presents...

The Q-Unique and Brown Bag All-Star connection was one forged at Fat Beats, one of the iconic hip-hop landmarks that has gone the way of dodo and dope mixtapes. On their collaborative album, Blaq Coffee, Q-Unique revisits his boom-bap roots as he gets incredibly personal and reflective. None of that would have been possible without the soundscapes crafted by Audible Doctor, DJ Element, and J57. In this interview, AD discusses the making of Blaq Coffee, the underground hip-hop business, his under-the-underground roots, preventing the burn-out, his production process, the possibility of a sequel, and more.

From mothers trying to cop FYL jumpers for their offspring to hitting the bars with Poison Pen, NEMS will keep you entertained while possessing zero regard for your life. Although on closer inspection, that may not be true. The Coney Island product uses his music as a form of therapy, recounting his issues with drugs while proudly proclaiming his sobriety, one gets the feeling he's not just doing it for himself. Although let's be clear - you will catch hands if you fake moves and if you do, you'll have no one to blame but yourself. And make no mistake, it's Gorilla NEMS season.

After laying low from music in 2016, NEMS focused on building his FYL brand while making plans for a monster 2017. With the release of Skinny NEMS, an almost-three hour compilation featuring NEMS's best tracks over the years, including his collabs with PH, Sean Price, Kool G. Rap, Ghostface Killah, Danse, and of course Poison Pen. In this exclusive interview, NEMS speaks on battling his personal demons, his FYL brand, why he doesn't need a problem solved, and much more, including his response to Danse's claim about who's got the dopest of dope verses in their many collabs.

"We've always been anti-industry," Danse says when talking about his song "Fuck Fader," an incendiary blast at the pay-for-play tactics some media outlets employ. The song and subsequent campaign, ironically, has led to more media coverage and placements, but the attitude of Danse and his BKLYN Stickup partner Busy remain the same - forget the industry. This independent mindstate has led to BET and MTV placements, a strong following, and the respect of fellow artists and writers. In this exclusive interview, Danse talks about his come-up, which goes back to the HipHopGame days, as well as his experiences with the hip-hop media, plans for BKLYN Stickup, his collaborations, and much more.
