Jesus tells us to Come to Him and He will give us Rest. Sometimes we forget that the Coming to Jesus part entails a loss in order to gain. In the losing, we can choose to Kiss Jesus Goodbye or Cling to Him.

Rest is not about what we can do to get it It's about Who Gives it and that's Jesus.

The problem we run into with having anything good in our life is that we think we are the answer to obtaining it.

Rest is a good thing, but it is not obtained by any good that we do. It is only a gift given by Jesus.

Have you ever tried and tried to rest and still found yourself struggling to rest? How many things have you tried, to help yourself to rest? How many of those things last?

The things we try to help us rest can only last so long. Jesus GIVES us rest, but this rest is a supernatural gift that happens from WITHIN.

This Gift can be obtained every day. The More we come to Jesus, the More Rest we receive within! But how does this happen?

Mark 6 says that the disciples didn't understand the miracle of the bread. It didn't say the miracle of the feeding of the 5000 or the miracle of the fish and bread. It just says the Miracle of the Bread. Why the Bread?

The Miracle of the Bread is more than it feeding the 5000. Jesus is that bread. He's the bread of Life that fills us and change us. But if we don't understand the miracle of the bread, it could prevent us from sharing it with others. And if we're not eating of the bread ourselves to change and fill us from within, that too can prevent us from sharing it with others.

Have we eaten of this bread?  If so, are we eating and digesting it daily? It will change us and make us want more!

Do we really understand the miracle of the bread? The Disciples didn't.

Everybody needs help, yet very few of us are willing to admit that. It takes admitting the need of help before asking for the need of help.

Thank Jesus, He didn't wait for us to ask for Help. He sent Help. Achsah ( Daughter of Caleb)  is a sweet woman in the Bible who shows us what it's like to ask for this kind of Help that Jesus provides. She didn't just ask for help from anybody, she asked for help from her father. T

his is the kind of Help that our Father God will give us more of, if we would just ask. What kind of help did she ask for?

If you've heard the story of the Samaritan Woman in the Bible, not too many people want to be like her. In fact, oftentimes we talk about her in relation to the phrase, "Be sure your sins will find you out".

However, I believe the Bible and Jesus teaches us differently. May Jesus teach us to be like her!

The Bible compares us humans to grass. As grass grows old and shrivels up, so do we. Yet so often we find ourselves trusting in ourselves or other people.

The Bible compares the good things about the grass to flowers As flowers fade away, so does the "good" things of this earth. Yet so often we find ourselves trusting in the wealth and beauty of this world.

Are we trusting in the flowers of life, our grassy selves or in Jesus who can't pass or fade away? In Jesus we find rest.

When we accept Jesus into our hearts, He never leaves us. However, it is indeed possible for us to leave Him. This happens when we don't include Him in the things that we do. This is a story about a lady who accepted Jesus, but then left Him while He was teaching, to go do things that she thought would please Him. She became burnt out!

Jesus gives her guidance and then He teaches us a very valuable lesson.
