You may find it surprising that I don't recommend calorie counting for weight loss as a dietitian. In fact, I also don't recommend that my clients track Macros or Points either! Why? Because having a set amount of calories or macros that you are aloud to eat does not help you learn to trust your body!
It is just another external rule that diet culture teaches. You can find countless equations to plug into your calculator, but our bodies are not that cut and dry. Some days you may need more food, some days you may need less, and you don't need the guilt spiral that comes from going over your calorie goal!
