Weink

In this episode of the Weink Podcast, Elsa sits down with indie romance author and teacher Emily to talk about writing alongside a full-time career, publishing her first novel in secret, and everything she has learned since.

Emily shares the inspiration behind Expecting Stars, the first Weink Book Club pick, and takes us into the world of her Campus Love series, beginning with Ink & Ambition. They explore flawed characters, emotional ambition, authentic settings, memorable side characters, fake dating, forced proximity, and why Emily occasionally has to warn her parents before reading her spicier stories.

They also discuss finding new ways to reach readers, and Emily’s practical advice for writers trying to finish their first draft: you can’t edit a blank page.

In this episode of the Weink Podcast, Elsa chats with independent romantasy author Violetta Brooks about writing the stories she wants to read, building the completed House Woodthorne trilogy, and finding readers as an indie author.

Violetta shares how she returned to writing, what critique partners taught her, why she chose to write a strong mother heroine in romantasy, and how A Fever Cruel and Lonely helped her explore a darker blend of werewolf romance, fantasy, and horror.

They also talk about first drafts, writing through fear, sharing work online, and why reading, writing, and supportive feedback can make such a difference for authors.

You can find Violetta’s books, including A Fever Cruel and Lonely and the House Woodthorne trilogy, on Weink.

In the very first episode of the Weink Podcast, Elsa sits down with Anais Garnier, author and founder of Weink, to talk about the writing journey behind the platform.

Anais shares how she started writing fanfiction as a teenager, what online reader communities taught her, and how publishing under the name Cloclovilla helped her grow before she stepped into writing under her own name. She also talks about her love for action romance, why her stories always need love and danger, and how her experience as an author led her to build Weink.

From fanfiction to founding a platform for authors, this episode is a warm conversation about creativity, confidence, community, and making space for writers to be read.
