Art Bell was no stranger to high strangeness, hosting the late-night radio show, Coast to Coast am.  But one night in the late 90's, a caller called in, and what transpired may be the most infamous call of the long running show's history.  A caller claimed to have been a former employee of Area 51, and frantically warned of impending disasters to come.  Before the call could be completed, the power to the station was cut, and Coast to Coast am temporarily went off the air.

Was the caller legitimate? Did sinister government forces cut the power mid broadcast? Find out today on this fan suggested episode of Weirdwide!

A cheating wife who can't let go of the party girl scene.  A whanna-be filmmaker who wanted the world to think he was better than he actually was.  A guy who thought being a killer for hire was an easy money gig.  What do these three have in common? They conspired to murder a man thought by many to be the ideal husband and father.

Cory Voss was a rising star in the US Navy when his life was cut tragically short the night his wife set him up to be murdered for the insurance money.

JD is joined by The Ghost, who actually knew the murderers when they decided to cash in Cory's life for a paycheck.

You feeling lucky this week???

JD is taking you on a journey across time, exploring the history of the lottery! From its beginnings in ancient China, it's spread across Europe, the modern day mafia connections, and the curse of the lottery!

The Weirdoverse gets metal this week, Weirdos!!!

JD is deep diving into one of music's biggest showdowns, the PMRC vs some very unlikely allies. Dee Snider, Frank Zappa, and John Denver teamed up in the 1980s to stop a campaign of censorship being led by Tipper Gore.

What were the Filthy Fifteen? What was Tipper's end game? And how did JD manage to bring another ridiculous character to life with the singer from W.A.S.P?! Tune in today to find out!

On this deep dive into weird history, JD looks at the events leading up to the mother of all bombs, what life was life after the bomb, and much more!

From optimistic scientists to nuclear bunkers, the Cold War to the propaganda videos, this episode will leave you irradiated with weird!

Join JD this week with a piping hot delivery of weird! This week JD is covering the strange rise and fall of Papa John!   From humble beginnings, to an empire of cheese, to code worded orders that could get you more than just pizza, and the culmination of the Papa's sweaty threats of a "Day of "Reckoning", this episode will surely sate your appetite for weirdness...even if it DOES give you a BAD craving for pizza!
