What did a church built by the gospel actually look like?

Christopher took us through the beautiful, messy, and miraculous reality of the early church in the book of Acts. It wasn't a museum piece—it was an invitation to move beyond just having information about God and instead step into the experience of His power. We explored how to live out a radical, self-giving community right here in Woking.

At Pentecost, we see God’s promise fulfilled as He gives Himself to His people , transforming fear into boldness. We're encouraged to seek the Holy Spirit’s power to transform us, transform the church, and transform the world. As we step into His purposes, we do so knowing that the same Spirit who was poured out then is available to us now.

Christopher continued our Easter Alive series looking at The Victory of the cross.

Reading through 1 Corinthians 15, we were reminded that the greatest battle has already been won through Jesus. On the cross He took the sting of sin and death, and through His resurrection He secured the victory we could never achieve ourselves. As we surrender to Him and join our lives to His, we share in that victory and live in the hope of what He has already won for us.

We gathered for our Good Friday Celebration to reflect on the heart of the gospel. Margaret brought a powerful message on The New Birth.

We were reminded that through Jesus’ suffering and death on the cross, something extraordinary happened—making it possible for us to be born again into a living hope and welcomed into God’s family. Because of His great mercy, we who were once dead in sin are made alive in Christ and given a new identity as children of God.

We had the joy of hearing Rachel Wilson share from Hebrews 12 and celebrating the gift of new life as we thanked God for 23 babies across our church family.

Rachel reminded us that life can feel like a race we didn’t train for, and no one is living a perfect “plan A” life. Yet we’re not alone—surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses and a church family cheering us on. As we fix our eyes on Jesus, we’re reminded that He is not just the finish line—He is the prize!
