All the Celtics "fans" that kept saying "I will say they turned a corner when they actually play a good team" can finally start rooting for the team again. This was an impressive win against a good Denver team and one of the best players in the NBA in Jokic. After giving up 60 points in the first half, the Celtics defense turned it up a notch in the second holding them to just 42. The story of the night is Derrick White. After being traded just 24 hours ago, he flew into Boston, cleared his physical and suited up tonight. Not only did he suit up but he played a major role and played the final 17 minutes of the game and came up huge with 15pts 6reb 2ast (should have been 4. He had 2 absolute dimes to Grant but he missed the layups) and he was efficient from the field. To come in to a new team and play a very tough switch heavy defense in Boston without a single practice and look fantastic while leading the team with a +10 is as impressive as it gets. 

Outside of JB who really struggled shooting today, we got really good contributions from our starting lineup all the way through. A couple months ago, this is the type of game that the Celtics fold in and they came out and battled tonight for their 7th straight win putting themselves 2 games above the Nets and just .5 games behind the Raptors for the 6th seed. Let's see if they can keep the train rolling on Super Bowl Sunday against the Atlanta Hawks.
