We know what you're thinking. Was there ever a hood film that had to do with Thanksgiving? Well...no but the hood had to claim "Soul Food" as the default.  We'll be chopping it up with Faisal Alam about his heritage, favorite soul food, and his time as a lawyer. We'll also see how this became the Thanksgiving hood film in the first place.  (Note: No actual soul food was consumed in this episode.) 

With the election now over, and the US waiting on who's gonna be the next president, we decided to pass the time by putting Yoshiko Watson on to the 90s hood iconic film, "Menace 2 Society", which stars Jada Pinkett Smith (pre entanglement). We chop it up with her about the film, Cali life, and of course hood slang. 

What better way to celebrate to Halloween with a monster sized episode. We decided to finish the epic story of Leprechaun's journey to the hood with the sequel itself. Join us as we chop it up with Marlenas about the film, her Irish heritage and slang from Ireland, and of course who in the film had to be asked "Whose Mans is This?" 

It's Homecoming Y'all! Well, it would've been if not for this virus. To help Marvin get over taking an L on going to homecoming at his alma mater, Oni decided to find put our guest "Bobbie Elfie" on to the film, "Burning Sands" which is about Greek life at a Historically Black College and University aka HBCU. We chop it up and discuss the film and her reaction to the culture of HBCUs, the hazing process of Greek life, and why she cried at the end of the film. Check the film out on Netflix.

On our latest episode, we jump our guest Tim Warner into a gang. We put him onto to the film "Dayveon" from 2017. We talk a little about the hood life in the country, gang life, and of course get his reaction to this low key underrated hood film.  Note: Tim was not harmed during the making of this episode. 

We're back folks! Welcome to my hood film returns and we decided to hit the ground running. We chop it up with our guest Kattoo King and discuss the movie "Do the Right Thing" and bring it into today's climate to eventually find out it was in it all along. 

In our mid-season finale, we chop it up with Julia Schachter as she shows us her love for Lil' Kim when we put her onto the 2003 movie "Gang of Roses" starring Lil' Kim. Note: Due to the coronavirus outbreak in the USA, we have to take a break from recording. So for now this will be our last episode for a while. We will be back as soon as things calm down.
