This week I spiraled out with playwright, novelist and television writer Jen Silverman (We Play Ourselves, The Roommate, Collective Rage: A Play In 5 Betties.)  We talked the protected joy in watching others rather than being watched, dared to investigate the world of trigger & content warnings, and even processed some shame-filled moments in our first meeting as the ex-partner and current partner of the SAME PERSON.  We also chat about social media and Twitter in particular, and I must note that this was recorded BEFORE the notorious Elon Musk takeover...which is why that element may feel glaringly absent from the conversation. 

Plus, Jen shares an excruciating shame story about scalding herself with boiling water and enduring a second-degree burn while in rehearsal for her play, all while trying to exist like absolutely nothing is happening.
