Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.
Our guest today is Katie Manga, the Chief Executive Officer of Gateway To Hope. The St. Louis based nonprofit provides women with personal support through every step of the breast health journey, from cancer screenings to treatment and beyond. As you’ll hear in our visit, Katie brings a tremendous background in government relations, business and nonprofit work to her role at Gateway to Hope. The lessons she offers about values-driven leadership and how it can shape both career and life are to me particularly profound. We also talk about the revenue challenges for nonprofits right now, about competition in the nonprofit sector, and about the challenges for building the next generation of leadership for St. Louis nonprofits.

The Lessons Learned Podcast visits with Maxine Clark, the visionary behind the creation of Delmar DivINe. Larry and Maxine chat about the founding of the nonprofit colocation center, how it was developed to serve both the St. Louis nonprofit community and the surrounding neighborhoods. Maxine talks about how her retail experience, including her founding and management of Build-A-Bear, gave her lessons to adapt to the community and nonprofit venue. She talks about what a colocation hub means and what her vision is, now that Delmar Divine is celebrating five years in the community.
