Psalm 23 is potentially one of the most well-loved and well-commented on passages in the the Psalms. As we follow the Holy Spirit through the chapter, is there something fresh for us once again? Something we can be renewed by? 

God's Word is never without a revitalizing application to our every day life. Join Tom as he discusses joy, the provision of the Shepherd and the way we are cared for so completely that we may ask at the end "Valley? What valley?".

Do we ever feel forsaken? Does God ever feel far from you? Do we struggle at times with feeling like God cares? How do we get to a place of praise when we feel this way? 

David penned multiple Psalms in which he felt exactly like this. Is it family, finances, health, spirit that has you feeling forsaken? David shares with us his remedy after sharing his struggle. We can find both in Psalm 22.

David writes a thankful response for the realization of his Psalm for the people to intercede and petition for him in Psalm 21. 

Thankfulness, no matter what the answer to our prayers may be can be hard, but in this Psalm we see how we can find joy and thankfulness for the answer of "yes" and the answer of "no".

As we look to the future in the second half of the Psalm, we find even more reason to rejoice and the challenge for us in the first half.

Psalm 20 takes us to a nation praying for the prayers and requests of their king to be heard. How often do we intercede on the behalf of our brethren?

How often do we think we need to know what to pray for them for? Should we pray for them and that God hear them and help them whether we know the details of their prayers or not? God may provide some answers through his favorite shepherd boy here in this Psalm.

Let's explore Psalm 19 together! Portions of this Psalm are very familiar, but there is something David is pointing out to us that Paul utilizes in the New Testament (which Paul does frequently) that is very important to us.

The heavens and nature are an undeniable witness of God's existence. There are firm truths for us if we recognize them and sure blessings to be had in their acknowledgment.

As we meet David once again in Psalm 18, we find that God is good, God is worthy of worship, God is a deliverance to us. Do we call on him when we should? 

There is powerful praise in this Psalm, let's see if we can get on board and do some praying ourselves. We're just practicing for eternity!

Psalm 17 challenges us in our prayer life. Do we pray according to God's will? Do we bend our requests to fit our will?

David shows us how to keep our sincerity in reflection before God when it comes to prayer. Let's take a walk little further down this path together.

This week we unpack the rich descriptions of blessing and how God preserves us in him. Do we trust in him to preserve us in all things? Some things? Too often our trust stops where we try to mentally limit his preservation in our lives.

David shows us that God's faithfulness is not contingent on our amount of trust.

David calls out a challenge to the follower of God with a list of those things that define said follower. Paul will draw on these traits later on in the Bible and give us a similar list.

Who are those that will abide with God and dwell with him? Those that are defined by his character that comes through in their character.

David is pretty hard on the fool in Psalm 14. As we explore the Psalm, we'll see that his is justified in his indictment. 

The glory of the gospel is that there is even hope for the fool.
