Psalm 13 brought a time of life back to Tom's memory that he shares with us in great detail. In the trials of our lives, when God is building us as Christians, it is easy to think that we've been forgotten. 

We need to realize not only has he not forgotten us, he is forging us into who he wants us to be.

Despite all the wickedness we see in the world, God has destined us for preservation. All too infrequently do we ask for the help we need from our God, or all too late in the problem.

Why do we wait? Why do we struggle through relying on our own strength?

In this episode we walk through Psalm 11, where David says he is taking it to the streets. He will not flee, and neither should we. He's going on the offensive because he knows God's got this and every trial, every trouble.

He put his trust in God, and we can too.

Psalm 10 tells a story of condemnation for the wicked. David's accusations are scathing and righteous, and as we look at them, we see how applicable they are to our society today. Indeed the hearts of men are desperately wicked.

This week's episode puts us smack dab in the middle of David's struggle with troubles. He prayerfully and rejoicingly points out that he is thankful that the Lord determines and judges the righteousness of all man, and that only his righteousness will pass the scrutiny.

When was the last time you looked up at the night sky and thought: Wow.? In Psalm 8 David does exactly that and then worships like we all should before an almighty God whose name is... EXCELLENT!

This week's episode take us to David's song to the Lord concerning the accusation of Cush. As David considers the accusations, he asks God to search his heart to see if there is any truth in them. Do we have the courage to do the same in the face of accusations, external and internal?

As we continue our walk through the Psalms in this episode, we look at Psalm 6, where David goes from being fearful of punishment, to being regretful concerning his sin, realizing his need for restoration through repentance.

This episode finds us with David again in Psalm 5, where we look at the benefits of starting our day in prayer and how our God protects us from the enemies within.

In this episode we're continuing our walk through the Psalms and we pause for a moment at Psalm 4 to learn about how we can be blessed in our distress because of a God who has been faithful before and will continue to be faithful.
