We changed it up this week and decided to play guess who. We pick a person for the other to guess. One person was pretty good while the other suddenly forgot every name imaginable.

This week we are joined by our friend, Mike Muccione or as he is better known, “Metal Mike”. While most of us know Metal Mike from his preference in death metal while coaching Muay Thai, few know his journey of how he became the man he is today. Mike’s story includes losing both of his parents, overcoming depression, cutting 120 pounds, his experience as an entrepreneur, and going all in on his passion for martial arts. At the end of the day, Mike’s message is clear, with patience and the ability to trust in the process, anything is possible.
If you are a Pure MMA member and are looking to improve your striking, Muay Thai, or MMA game, be sure to contact Mike about private sessions. You can also go to his Monday night and Tuesday/Saturday Morning classes!

We take a brief pause from the guest segments and talk about the scientists who have either gone missing or been killed in the past few years. Since Timmy is an engineer, I ask him about his view on the Advanced Propulsion systems that the government has been working on. These are our opinions and you should do your own research.

We welcome back two of our friends, who bring nothing but great vibes both inside and outside the Octagon. Alex Rios and Brandon Bernard were on episode 141 (be sure to listen to that if you have not already), however today they return as professional MMA fighters. We had a great conversation about life over the past year and a half. We hear stories about a wild encounter with a pant-lass crackhead in an Atlantic City hospital, travelling the country to fight, and the behind the scenes of their fighting journeys. The one thing is for sure with all of the fighters at Pure MMA is that you will not find a more tight-nit brotherhood. Get ready to laugh and enjoy!

We are joined by Dr. Gus and Andy Segovia, who do not need any introductions at this point. This was a fun one because we have Andy, who is currently in law enforcement, and Dr. Gus, a forensic psychologist, picking each other's minds on diverse topics. Topics include serial killers/criminal mindsets, Christianity and Jesus, conspiracies, and more. If you have listened to these two in past episodes, you know you are in for one good show. As always, keep your mind open and come to your own conclusions. We would also like to hear your opinions.

We had a great conversation with Frank Patierno. Frank is a friend from Pure MMA, who has an incredible story about how faith in God and you will propel you forward in life. Frank is the oldest of four boys, who had his life turned upside down early on, when his parents divorced. Naturally, Frank started going down the wrong path. Fortunately, Frank used competitive swimming as a way to drown out the noise. Frank learned through his dedication and hard work that he was in charge of his life and that he needed to ditch his victim mentality. Today, Frank is a police officer in Fairfield, part of the SWAT unit, trains MMA, and is living his best life. Frank's message is clear, it's all up to you.

We welcome back to the show our friend Billy Van Dyke. Since his prior appearances on episodes 123 & 151, Billy has moved to Austin, Texas, founded Elevation Strength and Conditioning, and made his Pro MMA debut for which he holds a 2-0 record. We talk about his most recent CFFC victory in Atlantic City, his new business, and life in general. We focus on the qualities and traits that Billy sees in successful people and the standards to which he holds himself and his clients. We have provided links to Billy's business and Instagram accounts, below. If you are a combat athlete or just want a coach to help you get into shape, check out Billy's program. I (Joe) have done a 6-week program (and continue to use Billy's workouts), which helped improve my performance in the gym and martial arts.

We welcome our friend Joe Campisi aka "Benny Tutto" to the show. Joe Campisi is a BJJ Black Belt with 20 years of experience and one of the head instructors at Pure MMA. If you train at Pure, you know that Joe is extremely disciplined and a student of the game, however he was not always this way. After his father's passing at 12-years old, Joe went down a tough path, which saw him angry, getting into fights, and hanging with the wrong crew. This changed thanks to a mushroom trip which showed Joe how his actions were hurting others. Afterward, Joe found BJJ and fell in love with it so much that it became his life. Today, Joe enjoys transferring is knowledge and experience to his students, however he maintains that to succeed in martial arts, it takes a village. Enjoy.

First off, we had some technical difficulties with the software, which caused us to lose a major portion of the video. We found this out after finishing the show. We have fixed the issue and will ensure it does not happen again. This week, we discuss our thoughts on how/why people dig themselves into their stances and are unwilling to change them. Obviously, we are not saying to automatically change your thoughts when another person lies or brings an opposing view, rather be open to at least hearing the other side. We are living in some fascinating times.
