It’s highly studied that our best move for longevity is to lift weights. Heavy weights! Ladies, I am talking to you! Of course along with 7-9 hours of sleep a night, drinking plenty of filtered water, eating 1 gram of protein per pound of ideal body weight, maintaining social connection. While it is entirely ok to train for a specific aesthetic, while also protecting your overall health, there are so so sooooo many ways that lifting weights will positively impact your day. As someone who has lifted weights for 15 years and was a personal trainer, I have experienced and seen first hand to incredible impact it makes. From getting stronger, more confident, higher energy and even more.
I’ve collected the most common hang ups I hear people getting stuck with resistance to lifting heavy weights. Then we will talk about all the delicious benefits - physical mental, emotional - that will come from lifting weights, zone 2 cardio and zone 5 cardio.
