On this final episode of Wellfed season 4 my guest is New England based artist and illustrator, Chris Delorenzo. Chris if you're listening to this, I'm sorry it took so long. I would describe Chris's work as whimsical, clever and abstract. It is truly an example of letting your mind explore ideas fully and not letting the conventions of life bog you down in the process. His approach to creating work and experience has allowed him to collaborate with brands like Apple, Airbnb, GoDaddy, the New York Times, Target, and many more. Chris is truly a sincere guy and during this episode we discussed life starting off in the creative industry, working for one of his local heroes, mother nature's wifi, and how his work life has changed now since the pandemic. After a few months off I am so proud to share with you final episode of Wellfed season 4 with my guest Chris Delorenzo.

On this episode, my guest is D'ana Nunez, aka COVL. D'ana is a multidisciplinary artist originally from Miami, now living in Brooklyn, New York. Multi-disciplinary is a word we use to describe creatives that apply their skills to a number of different mediums and D'ana is truly an example of this. She has created murals, motion graphics, car wraps, interiors, and even capsule collections for brands, such as Nike, Instagram, Spotify, Google, and many more.
D'ana has been on my list of guests to interview for a while now so I was ecstatic to finally nail down some time to have her.

Emily Elyse Miller, the Founder and CEO of Offlimits Cereal and the author of Breakfast the cookbook published by Phydon. When I first started Wellfed one of the brands I looked to for inspiration was Breakfast Club which was a project started by Emily. She used food as a way to start conversations and connect with new and interesting people and I loved that. Emily has always had a passion for food as well as art and fashion and all three of those have now been combined to launch her cereal brand, OffLimits. I knew I had have Emily as a guest to learn more about her experience and what it takes to launch a brand in a category that has gone stale.

Have you ever wondered how to develop your personal style as a creative? On this episode I speak with illustrator Sebastian Curi, who went through years of working different jobs before arriving at his very recognizable illustration style. Sebastian is a super talented individual and I am so glad he could join me as a guest on the podcast. We spoke about how he started off in post production roles before ever getting the opportunity to work on any creative animation projects. We also talked about his experience moving internationally 4 times all while working, why he decided to switch from animation to illustration, and what he hopes to achieve as he continues to grow his career as an independent illustrator.

Have you ever had an idea for a project or a series that would maybe help get client work? My guest on this podcast episode did just that!
Meet Connor Tomatoes! A young designer that is creating an awesome community on TikTok while also sharing his love for design, illustration, and t-shirts. Yes t-shirts! Connor graduated during COVID and while making an effort to send in job applications, he started to experiment on TikTok, sharing his design process. He eventually created one of my favorite series called, "Designing a T-Shirt for a random business in a random city". Over time Connor's video gained popularity which lead him to not only gaining clients but also opening up his own webstore where he sells some of his work.
I am really excited to have Connor as a guest because we break down so much of his process that I think this will be super helpful for young designers and creatives looking to get a head start in their career.

Using typography as image is something a lot of designers can appreciate and Chloe Scheffe has done an amazing job exploring that through her work for some big clients. Chloe has recently decided to step out on her as an independent designer working with clients like Nike, Lucky Me Records, Tribeca Films, and more. Prior to this she worked at the New York Times where she fell in love with editorial design which led her to leading the design and art direction for Away's independent magazine, HERE. On this episode we discuss all things type, freelancing, networking, and how to attempt balancing them all.

A web designer and digital entrepreneur, Puno is a Digital Educator & Founder of ilovecreatives, a platform connecting and edu-taining creatives living that slashie life. I first encountered Puno through her humorous Squarespace design course advertisements which stood at as a unique approach to the online education space. After doing my research and learning about Puno's diverse background starting as an art director and working her way to leading UX design on Activision's Call of Duty, I couldn't wait to have Puno join me as a guest on the podcast.

Alex Kiesling is an illustrator and animation director currently based in Brooklyn, New York. I don't remember exactly how I came across Alex's profile but I have been following him for some time now and have enjoyed seeing his work pop up in my feed. To kickoff season 4, Alex and I discussed what it was like after graduating from school with only $600 in his bank account. Alex also discusses how even though his first internship was not the most fun, it made a huge impact on his style and process today.
