When You Fear God, You Tell the Truth about “Pride.”

I appreciate anyone who stands on the Bible, including the pitchers with the San Francisco Giants who wrote “Gen 9:12-16” on the Pride Night baseball caps that the players were forced to wear last Friday, June 12. They told the truth about the rainbow.

Twenty-two years ago, just down the road in San Jose, I also told the truth about what the Bible says in Genesis, when God brought a woman to the man, not another man (Genesis 2:22). On the video, you can hear the men shouting. They took a stand with me for the truth.

Commentators are mistaken when they accuse us of being unloving. We are trying to save men's souls. We know God so we fear Him, not some men who don’t even know who they are. We stand with God. We stand flatfooted on the truth of the Word of God. We love them so we defy them until they see the truth from Jesus and the truth sets them free (John 8:32).

Jesus said in Matthew 10:28, “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Jesus already showed He loved you, but He also showed you His standards.

I Vote the Bible, with Humility. We keep voting for the loudest leaders in the room and we keep ending up with too many who lack integrity. But God promoted Moses, a man who asked, "Who am I?" Maybe the way up has always been down. Moses spent 40 years in the desert before God ever called him to lead. Humility isn't the obstacle to leadership. It's the doorway.

Pressing On to Find Humility and Bring Revival.

Moses was still in the wilderness when he became broken enough to be gripped by a sense of destiny from God. A place of destiny is a place of honor. When you're a person of destiny, you are honored to take responsibility for yourself and your generation. You know that you are still alive because something in your life remains to be fulfilled. You have a sense of the eternal rewards awaiting you if you persevere, when the Lord will say these words, ‘‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord” (Matthew 25:23 NKJV).

When Moses ran from Pharaoh into the wilderness, he thought he was running to save his life, but he was really running to lose it. He needed to lose his old way of life to find a place of humility where God could speak and he would listen. It took him 40 years to find enough brokenness to meet the Lord in the burning bush experience.

You may wonder why you are going through so many difficult circumstances. You probably want God to change your circumstances, but God is trying to change you. You may want to go looking for a revival, but God wants you to become a revival. Psalms 85:6 says, “Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?” We don't want to go looking for revival. We want there to be such a level of life inside of us that we are the revival that’s coming.

Go Ahead and Get Mad at Me.

Integrity doesn't start with politicians. It starts with you. Integrity is who you are when nobody's watching. It's your private devotion, your secret walk with God. Accountability is just sin management. God rewards you for what you do when no one is looking. "Your Father who sees in secret will reward you" (Matthew 6:6).

Be bold for Jesus everywhere — the boardroom, the job site, the public square. Don't let anyone keep His name locked inside the church walls. Go ahead and get mad at me, but I will not be intimidated.

Both political parties want the Christian vote — without the name of Jesus on their lips. But the Bible says He has been given a name above every name. At the name of Jesus, every knee must bow and every tongue must confess (Philippians 2:9-10). If you don't vote for Jesus, I don't vote for you.

You cannot carry the name of Jesus in public while refusing His nature in private. In Psalm 22:6, Jesus humbled Himself to the point of saying, "I am a worm, and no man"—and that is the nature you are called to put on. When you are stepped on, crushed, or overlooked, you have a choice: strike back like the serpent, or go low like the Savior.

You will be tested at the point of your greatest resistance. If you yield to Him, God’s testing will expose the snake in you and remove anything that is not like Jesus. The Word will shape you through your experiences.

Examine your heart, confess where you've fallen short, and recommit to the way of the worm—humble, Word-filled, and unashamed—a man shaped by Jesus’ nature, speaking His name, and carrying His nature wherever you go.

Never Ashamed to Talk about Jesus.

Jesus Is God and the Essence of God's Word.

You cannot separate Jesus from the Word of God. They are one.

John opens with a truth that changes everything: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Every page of Scripture carries His essence.

All things were made by Him. Nothing exists apart from Him. And when you search the Scriptures, you are not just reading letters on a page—you are meeting a Person. As Jesus said, "These are they which testify of me."

Here is the heart of it: true life isn't found in mastering the letter of the Word. It's found in knowing the eternal Word, Jesus Christ, who became flesh and walked among us.

So when you open your Bible, don't just look for information. Look for Him.
