  • EP. 16 NOURISHING YOUR BODY IN THE FALL AND WINTER

All the tips for nourishing your body in the fall and winter months: foods to eat, herbs to take, and how to support your body mentally and emotionally! The colder months symbolize slowing down, resting, restoring the body, and just taking more time in general to nourish yourself. If you're feeling like you have less energy this time of year (so do we!), there's a reason for that. It's important to listen to those cues and incorporate more time to tend to those needs as much as you are able! Stay warm and cozy :)

  • EP. 15 A CONVERSATION WITH A REGENERATIVE DETOX SPECIALIST - Rita Jean Flemming

Our guest this week, Rita Jean Flemming, is a regenerative detox specialist who works to help people heal from the inside out, starting at the cellular level and working through all of the body's systems and functions. She describes regenerative health as the process of renewal and restoration, which is something many of our bodies long for because of how much stress we're exposed to in today's society in the form of malnutrition, lack of connection to nature, sedentary lifestyles, and increased toxin exposure. After enduring a car accident at age 19, Rita was told she'd never resume normal functions again...but by regenerating every aspect of her health, she was able to fully recover and live optimally, reminding us that it's never too late to heal. In this episode, she describes each of the 6 pillars of regenerative health: alkalinity, cellular ATP, organs of elimination, soil health, gut health, and the endocrine system. An extremely informative and inspiring episode, so enjoy :)

  • EP. 14 THE BIRTH CONTROL EPISODE

To be 100% honest, we had no clue how the birth control pill actually works to prevent pregnancy, what it does inside the body, or how it affects our overall health until VERY recently (we're talking like 6-7 years after first going on the pill). Unfortunately, it's just not something that's ever well explained to women, and we're often left feeling like we don't have many other options. In this episode, we chat about our experiences with birth control, the unanswered questions that leave many women feeling confused, alternatives you can seek out if you're wishing to take a different route, and ways to best support your body when on the pill or coming off of it. Stay tuned for more resources to be shared on our Instagram @wellnessdigestpod and a Birth Control Q&A with us on our stories!

  • EP. 10 CLIMATE CHANGE EXPLAINED - why should we care?

What is climate change and why is it happening? Why should we care and what can we do about it? All of your climate change questions answered here! On this podcast, we believe wellness encompasses so much more than just the self. As human beings who were blessed with life on this earth, we are obligated to take care of the people and things around us. The very things we need for survival (water, food, air) are given to us by Mother Nature, so it's the absolute least we can do to give back to her.

Welcome to part 1 of our multi-part healing series. Part 1 encompasses the emotional (and possibly the most important) aspect of healing. Healing is a journey... it does not happen overnight and no healing journey will look exactly the same as another. In this episode, we dive deep into our personal healing journeys, techniques we've used along the way to become more emotionally in tune/grounded, and tangible tips to start your own emotional healing journey!
