In this episode, Haley joins to co-host chat with Patrick Lyons - by day a Product Manager at Microsoft and by night the Founder of the Lyon Shred Fitness and the Online Fitness Coach Academy (OFCA). We kick off highlighting our favorite moments of the August 2023 Hawaii Fitness Retreat that Patrick hosted! Then we go back in time to when Patrick’s fitness journey began and how the start was inspired by Batman. Patrick was on a mission to transform himself from uncomfortably skinny to confidently fit. As he shared his fitness journey on social media including YouTube - his following grew dramatically when he also started recording entertaining push-up contests and class pranks at UT Austin! He finally decided to take his passion to the next level and launch his own coaching program called the Lyon Shred to help others lose fat, build muscle, and gain strength. He is continuously learning the science behind new fitness-related topics, including workout programming, nutrition, macros, sleep, supplementation, recovery, and more to help his clients accelerate their goals. He has compiled over 500 of those research topics into the Online Fitness Coach Academy (OFCA). Beyond fitness and nutrition, he is also big on habits some of which he shares in this episode and is releasing a book on habits in the near future!! Take a listen and stay tuned!
